5.0 out of 5 stars Buy this, 28 Jun. 2006
This review is from: Holy Wood (Audio CD)
Well i suppose enough has been said about this one so il keep it short. in my opinion this album is better than machanical Animals, infact this is one of the best albums i own. it really is the perfect blend of loud Rock songs (The fight song etc) and softer songs such as 'in the shadow of the valley of death' this song happens to be one of my favourite manson songs of all time, its quite beautiful and full of emotion as is the rest of the album. This album is quite the masterpiece that all manson and even non manson fans alike should listen too.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loud, 28 Jun. 2006
A very fast and relentless album, the foot stomping never really lets up. A very fiery album with some memorable songs such as Destroy all, The only, All in wait, so and more. Great if you like this thing and worth a try if you dont. They also happen to be one of the best live bands iv ever seen when they opened for KoRn. Brilliant!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant and Loud!, 27 Jun. 2006
Wow!!! first of all, dont expect too much in the way of extras on this disk, theres hardly any? and now thats out of the way.... WOW! this is a great example of just how good korn are live. for a band nearing ten years old they sound fresh and lively its a brilliant mix of classics such as Blind, Adidas and Twist mixed with the newer stuff such as thoughtless and got the life. one of the highlights is when davis straps on the bag pipes and the band break into shoots and ladders, its brilliant. this Dvd is also a visual treat, the band look great, the lighting is perfect and davis as ever holds on tightly to his Gorgeous $50000 mic stand created by H.R Giger. this is an awsome live show and if your a korn fan or just a fan of the genre you need to see this.

5.0 out of 5 stars brilliant, 27 Jun. 2006
This review is from: Issues (Audio CD)
this album has a lot more soul and melody than its three predecessors and yet it still manages to carry over the emotion and in some parts, the anger of the first two albums. you can listen to this one however you like? sit back and relax or jump around and tear your hair out to lose some frustration. highlights on this album include falling away from me, trash, make me bad, no way and Dirty amongst many others. theres also the good old bag pipes thrown in for good measure. this is a brilliant album and korn fan or not, you cant go far wrong with this one.

4.0 out of 5 stars the new korn, 27 Jun. 2006
Korn screamed onto the scene in 1994 and in doing so they changed the way music would sound for the next decade, their first two albums were brilliantly heavy and full of raw emotion. see you on the other side however isnt? its still brilliant, but in a different way. you could have forgiven KoRn for not bothering after all the critisism they have recieved in recent years, and with gutarist Brian "head" welch leaving to pursue religion? but they didnt quit, they grew as a band and created this wonderful album, too many people argue that korn lost touch after their first two albums but most of these people havnt botherd to listen to any of their more recent releases? issues was a masterpiece ant untouchables was very underated. i loved korn since the early days but i also love the way theyve matured. see you on the other side is a great album that can be appreciated by many people with different tastes. 3.0 out of 5 stars good in parts?, 27 Jun. 2006
first off, im a massive predator fan, i love anything to do with it, the first two alien films also sit close to the top of my dvd collection so you can imagine how excited i was when this film was finally announced. and then after a long long wait it finally came out and i left me (and many other fans im sure) pretty gutted. its obvious to even the simple minded that this film is ultimatley just a money grabber. its a shame really because this had the potential to be something truly epic. The acting is awful in places and you'd expect a film where the alien and the predator meet to have at least a little violence in it right... maybe some bad language? but no, its been made for kids which makes no sense, how many people would let their kids watch predator 2? my point being, the people that grew up loving these films are mostly older than 15 now. fortunately there are a few radeeming parts to this film. the predators look awsome for a start, no longer in the hot jungle, they adorn their full body armour, and they look great, the celtic predator also has a very evil looking mask. There are also a few very good fight scenes and without spoiling the ending, theres a great fight involving the alien queen. so to sum up, AVP could have been worse but it could have been much, much better?

4.0 out of 5 stars A CG masterpiece, 27 Jun. 2006
First things first, the CG in this film is absolutly stunning, you dont need a fancy HD TV to admire the brilliant opening space battle. and its not just the start either, the effects are brilliant throughout. But good effects alone dont make a good film, fortunately the stories quite good too, and most of the acting is greatly improved from the previous two films. with the exeption of Hayden Christensen who even manages to make Darth Vader look camp! qite how he managed that i dont know:)fortunately Ewan McGregor gives a solid performance and theres plenty of action throughout. there is one missed opportunity with this film tho being that most of the jedi knights didnt put up much of a fight when they met their ends? but all in all R.O.S is a good watch and a good enough ending for the saga.

5.0 out of 5 stars the phantom menace, 27 Jun. 2006
this film has gained alot of bad reviews, and i cant argue with some of these, jar jar was indeed annoying but not half as bad as some of the wooden acting. but overall its actually a very good film with many brilliant scenes. not least of all the dual of fates, a brilliant light sabre battle between obi wan, qui gon and the ruthless darth maul. this scene is filmed mostly from a distance so that the viewer can appriciate it in all its choreographed glory. and then theres the brilliant pod race scene, a deadly fast paced race that weaves through the canyons and caves. this is hardly as impressive as the brilliant originals but it is a much better film than most people give it credit for.

5.0 out of 5 stars Plane fun, 27 Jun. 2006
This review is from: Crimson Skies (Xbox) (Video Game)
First of all, this is a brilliant game and a much needed flying game for the xbox. theres nothing really to compare this too? its just a really refreshing and original game, you play a pirate of sorts, not a nasty one but you have freedom to choose missions at your own pace, or you could just rob people... for fun mainly:) the sky is full of massive zepplins and other planes, and what beautiful skies they are, the only thing better than the graphics in this game is the sounds. everything just comes to life in this game, the planes sound great and the battles are epic. my only problem with this game is the controls, its adopded the same controls that all flying games get these days.. push the stick left and the plane turns left? it just isnt right. thankfully however, it seems to work for this game, probably because the game doesnt take its self too seriously. you cant really go wrong with this game, its brilliant from start to finish also has some imaginative bad guys thrown in for good measure. highly recommended

3.0 out of 5 stars return of the king, 27 Jun. 2006
this is a fun enough little game that will keep fans of the genre very happy, the graphics are great and the sound is absolutly brilliant the controls are quite good too but if like me your not a huge lord of the rings fan, it ultimately gets repetative quite quickly. you seem to endlessly slash up enemies with the same two buttons, but i dont want to sound too negative because i quite enjoyed this game, the difficulty level keeps you playing inorder to beat that level you cant get past. A must have for fans and worth a rent at least for anyone els.
