Batman
Batman
by G.S. Gardner
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the film, 11 April 2013
This review is from: Batman (Paperback)
Not only does this book cover the film in fantastic detail, but it adds some scenes missing from the film.(Like the scene with batman on a horse.) The joker is spot on and all the classic lines from the film are here. The line 'Have you ever danced with the devil in the pale moon light.' is used alot but the book is finished before you get sick of it. Great read.

Batman Dark Knight Returns TP
Batman Dark Knight Returns TP
by Frank Miller
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Greatness, 30 Mar. 2013
Ever since i started reading batman i've always wondered how it would end for him. This is a great story that shows a possable future for the dark knight. You feel bad when you jump into the story as Gotham has become worse than it ever has after the batman retired 10 years ago. The feeling that you get is the batman only delayed it a few years and everything he done was for nothing. The bruce wayne we meet is a broken shell of a man who seems to fight with himself on a daily basis to keep the batman 'locked' away deep inside, to the point where Bruce and the Batman are fight themselfs inside waynes head. You can clearly see they are now two different people as Bruce wakes up in the Batcave and can't remember getting there. When we finally see the return of the batman you can't help but smile and cheer him on. Any comic book fan needs to read this book. If you only read one comic in your lifetime this is a strong contender to choose.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesomeness, 30 Mar. 2013

Weather you've read the comic or not you'll enjoy this book. I love the way they fill Bane out in this and how it makes you fill sorry for him when you read his origin, but as he grows up and see the path he takes you change and no longer feel as sorry and the Bane we all know and love has entered, the fact this is all done over a single chapter show how well Dennis O'Neil can write. Even knowing the story (I have the Knightfall comics.) I still felt shocked reading this. I love the fact that during acts 1 and 3 each chapter starts with a picture of the bat logo and as the chapters begin rolling by each new picture opening the next chapter the picture changes showing the fall and rise of the Batman. I know its not a big thing but passing through and seeing them change is such a cool idea i can't help but love and knowing how the whole story plays out it keeps me excited and looking forward to the rest of the story. I've read this book a few times in the short time i've had it and can safely say that every batman fan must have this book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Um ok. May contain spoilers. (Nothing big), 27 Mar. 2013
This review is from: Halloween: NightDance (Paperback)
The main plot is alright but easily forgetable, you can't really care for anyone as there all on a downer and Michael feels a lot like Jason or Freddy in this. there are so many unanswered questions like they never explain the link to why michael is in russellville to start with what happened for him to get here? When is this set the only thing i can think of is while he is looking for laurie before the events of H20. He must of been there awhile if he has a draw full of his mask? The the writers like there doing a Friday the 13th book because most of the kills scream FREDDY for example Michael knocks someone to the floor sticks an apple in her mouth pulls out a lipstick draws her a smily face then does what he does best. The Michael i know would play a lot more mind games then BANG your dead none of this playing with them and making them look pretty. If your a Halloween fan then go into this with a clean mind and don't expect much don't get me wrong it is enjoyable but it needs to swap Michael for Jason or Freddy of it to work.

Prey: Alien Vs. Predator (Aliens Vs. Predator)
Prey: Alien Vs. Predator (Aliens Vs. Predator)
by Steve Perry
Edition: Mass Market Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars Now this is how its done, 26 Mar. 2013
After seeing the AvP films i wasn't expecting much from the books. A friend got me this years ago and its taken me till now to read it.( mainly out of boredom.)Why why why didn't those stupid hollywood cash cows turn this into a film. From start to finish your hooked. unlike some spin off type of books where you can just tell they're trying to cash in on the hype, you van tell the author cares about this world. The motives of the Predators start off the same as any predator story there here to hunt and thats about it or so we are lead to beleive. When everything starts to hit the fan the motives of everyone changes and thats when the fun begins. the only draw back i could find was that a lot of 'fans' won't get the chance to read this as it seems reading isn't the cool thing anymore, which is a shame because this is one hell of a book that anyone can get into fan or not.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just doesn't work, 26 Mar. 2013
When i heard Seth Rogan was doing this i was excited, went to see the film and what a massive let down. it takes to long to get to the point and spends the first half playing as a comedy then trys jumping into an action flick and fails on so many levels. This is one to watch if and when it pops up on TV or there's some multi buy deal somewhere and you can't choose your last DVD/Blu ray.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is how its done, 24 Mar. 2013
After watching the horror that was the live action pile of poop i didn't think Green Lantern could be saved. I was wrong. This is the movie fans should of been given. The only way this movie could be any better is if it was live action.

3.0 out of 5 stars Hit or miss, 24 Mar. 2013
Its a good idea how they went about this, but the problem i had was weather it wanted to be set in Nolans world or the animated series world it seems to jump between the two. If Nolan made nods to it then i'd understand but it just kind of highs in the air not knowing which side it belongs to.

2.0 out of 5 stars not bad but the voice acting ruins it, 24 Mar. 2013
A pretty good film but the voice acting ruined it for me. James woods isn't bad but thats about it. I can't remember which Bladwin does the voice for batman but he was a bad bad choice.
