Destruction Derby
Destruction Derby
Offered by Craig Lea Resources
Price: £12.96

4.0 out of 5 stars Old, but still going, 18 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Destruction Derby (Video Game)
Although this game is quite noticably outdated, it is a classic. You can have great fun with it again and again. At this price, they are practically giving it away but i reccomend DD2, its better

5.0 out of 5 stars Some Irish classics mixed with some originality, 18 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Do Or Die (Audio CD)
This is one of if not the best Dropkicks album. There are a couple of irish classics on this album, which they have interpreted and originalised and some amazing songs that they have written themselves. There is a mixture of music from higher tempo punk to drinking songs to more relaxed and meaningful music. A great album and a must have for any Dropkicks fan. (although the start of the album is average, it finishes with some of the best Dropkick songs in my opinion)

The Band Geek Mafia
The Band Geek Mafia
Price: £8.81

4.0 out of 5 stars Ska-tastic, 18 Feb. 2004

This unique sounding album admittedly isn't as catchy or enjoyable as "Steady as She Goes", but this album is one for every ska fans collection. The fast paced songs make you smile and they are fantastic live.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of those albums, 18 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Love Metal (Audio CD)
When I bought this album, I thought that it would be a let down after loving Razorblade Romance, but after a few listens, I think it is almost as good. It is an album that you can listen to to chill you out or perk you up.......its a classic and I strongly recommend it.......they are going to be HUGE in the future!

Steady As She Goes

Price: £9.89

5.0 out of 5 stars A classic, 13 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Steady As She Goes (Audio CD)
Probably the best Voodoo Glow Skulls album yet. The fast high tempo lyrics combined with heavy metallic guitar and ska riffs will have you coming back for more. This cannot compare to the amazing live act but should be bought, although it does sound like they had very little studio time (vocals sound more muffled than usual!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Doesn't compare to their live act but worth buying, 13 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Demonic Advisory Centre (Audio CD)
I bought this album after seeing Little Hell supporting Amen last year. I enjoyed them live even though the lead singer is completely up himself! This album is another original sound and would fit well in anyones collection. There are some good strong riffs in some of the tunes and the album fades in and out from seriousness and rage into a more laid back and jokey style. I would recommend this album to a wide range of fans. Nirvana fans to the Murderdolls fans, you will enjoy this album

5.0 out of 5 stars A wonderful album from a wonderful band, 13 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Same Old Tunes (Audio CD)
This album is probably the most unusual of all of Millencolins albums but is amazing in its own respects. Here, we here more of the ska sound of Millencolin, which has been more or less forgotten in the more recent albums especially the more recent Home from Home. This is a cheerful uplifting album, which is difficult to listen to without grinning. I may hold a bias as a huge Millencolin fan, but this album gives you a chance to hear the other side of Millencolin. Enjoy it!

5.0 out of 5 stars Unusually original album, 13 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Blood Panic (Audio CD)
I bought this CD when it first came out on Burning Heart records because I had been a huge fan of Monster. Monster called it a day and the lead singer, Anders, started a new project, Moneybrother. For all of you who have never heard Monster, Anders has an amazing voice, which sounds good with two-tone ska as Monster produced and a more laid back sound like Moneybrother are producing. When I first put this album into my CD player, I wasn't sure what to expect and after hearing it the first time, I wasn't sure what I thought as it isn't the sort of music that I generally buy. However, after opening up to it and listening to it a few times I really started to appreciate. It is one of those albums that can totally relax you at the end of a hard day. I would say that this album appeals to a wide range of people and shouldn't be missed out on

Punk-O-Rama 6
Punk-O-Rama 6
Price: £7.60

4.0 out of 5 stars David Dickenson would be proud of this bargain!, 13 Feb. 2004
This review is from: Punk-O-Rama 6 (Audio CD)
An absolute bargain. For your money, you get over an hour of punk on one CD from many great bands such as the Beatsteaks, Pulley and the Voodoo Glow Skulls. My only criticism of this album is that a lot of the chosen songs sound all too similar. This is not a problem if you are a fan of fast punk music, but to people who like their punk with a bit of variation, this album may not be what you are looking for. However a cracking buy, which can be played over and over and still enjoyed

Anyone that remembers the Young Ones when it was shown on the BBC will remember how amazingly funny it was. I had almost forgotten until I bought this DVD. It is so utterly unique as far as sitcoms go and will have you in fits of laughter. I did notice, however, that the episodes have been tampered with, sound affects seem to be too loud or quiet in places and bits are missing. It seems like the BBC editorial team has had a go at this which annoyed me. There is plenty of scope to add extras with this DVD also, but none have been added, which was a disappointment. Saying this, this is a DVD that should be in everyones collection, perfect to have on when you have friends round with several cans!
