2.0 out of 5 stars Nice book shame about the cakes, 25 Sept. 2010
Bought the book with the view to make cupcakes with my partner for us both to enjoy and share with friends and family. Out of the cupcake basic recipes the chocolate and carrot cupcakes turned out the best. The icing recipes however never turned out at all. They were just too wet, tried everything, even added in more icing sugar and adjusted the milk but to no avail. The basic vanilla cupcake recipe comes out very heavy and dry. Overall it's a nice book but there's better out there with less hassle and more rewarding outcomes.

2.0 out of 5 stars Massive let down, 11 Nov. 2008
After being lucky enough to play the BETA version of the game i was very disappointed. Looking past the obvious glitches that a beta version through's up there are some major problems with the game and the subsequent feedback from TREYARCH doesn't bode well. The look of the game is not all that impressive, and the atmosphere the game provides is lacking. On sending in an air strike it takes an eternity, the dogs once sussed out are killed easily. Which brings me onto the perks system. This has been grafted very badly from COD4 where the system worked well as it balanced out the gameplay. The THOMSON rifle will end up being the preffered choice against the single bolt action, which has been confirmed will not be upgradable with a snipers scope or capability. Overall it lacks any feel and realism that COD4 did, It's worth at best a rental, and a big shame as i was looking forward to this title.
