Too much for beginners unfortunately, 17 Feb. 2000
Contrary to what the back of the book says, this is aimed at total beginners to 3D Studio MAX 3. For example, it even tells you how to install 3D Studio and has 14 pages solely for describing how to select objects.
This book has got some interesting ideas and is clearly written, like most 3D Studio help books, but for most people who have already spent a while with 3D MAX, it will not offer much in the way of help.
I have, however, rated this book as 4 stars. This is because I am going against my personal view of the book and what it would be worth to the audience it is aimed at (complete beginners). I can see it could be very helpful as it starts from scratch for everything and has screenshots for everything (buttons, etc).
