1.0 out of 5 stars The good reviews are baffling, 3 Nov. 2009
This is a terrible film, I wont list all of its faults as I simply do not have that much free time, but i will say this.

The acting is superficial at best, even the usually relaible Shia phones in a pathetic performance.

The effects. At times they are impressive, but on occasion, they are shockingly bad and I can think of films that are years older than this that look better.

The new characters are all ridiculous, the less said about the twins the better. The Fallen seems like a credible threat until he gets taken down in all of two minutes.

The story. There just isnt one.

The action is so mindless, it is hard to actually tell who is fighting who towards the end.

This film exists for one reason and one reason only, for Michael Bay to put numerous shots of Megan Fox's cleavage or backside in slow motion. And while that is an attractive prospect, it does not make for a good movie. This is one of the worst summer blockbusters I have ever seen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Film Shame About The DVD, 27 Oct. 2009
I'm not really going to say anything about the film here, apart from the fact that is amazing, violent and very funny.
Has anyone seen the list of extras on the Blu Ray version? Quite extensive. So why are the majority of people who have a DVD player, being made to suffer??? I find this very annoying!!!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Destiny's End, 5 Jan. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
So after dozens of set up novels, spanning the whole Star Trek saga, we come to the end. Or at least the end of the adventures we know, an all consuming trilogy, Destiny taught us about things we never dreamed of really understanding, The origin of the Borg for example.
And yet, when that conclusion is reached, I found it somewhat unsatisfying.
Well written, excellent characterisations, fantastic choreographed battle scenes on the intense level i expect from Trek.
Very enjoyable, but seeming shallow at the time. Maybe more could have been made from such an expansive crossover? Some kind of interaction between Picard and Johnathan Archer, Kirk Vs The Collective?
As interesting as the Cealiar were, they came across as old school preachy Trek, you almost wanted them to become... what they eventually became. Thats not a spoiler, its mind blowingly obvious from the first flashback.
Nice third book, cant wait to see whats in store for all the characters after this, although i uspect it'll be a long while before we meet the continuing voyages of the U.S.S Enterprise again as the next TNG novels are set earlier in the timeline.
And why is Dax no longer on DS9? Anyone??? At least TNG novels are churned out at a decent speed, we have to wait years for each DS9 installment.

1.0 out of 5 stars Worst Book In The Declassified series, 1 July 2008
Having been a fan of 24 since the moment it first aired, and a writer myself, I was always looking forward to the time when more Jack Bauer adventures would be in book form... And up until now I have enjoyed them all.
This 'novel' is a slow, boring, semi thriller that barely involves our favourite protaganist Jack Bauer. The other characters are losely drawn and dangerously dull, the story itself is just nothing close to anything deserving the 24 name.
Also it takes place after Hurricane Katrina, these Declassified novels are suppossed to be set before season 1 of 24, something chronologically wrong there.
Read 24 Declassified: Trinity instead, it chronicles Jack's first encounter with CTU, and is full of knowing references and in-jokes. Buy that one rather than the festering boredom of Storm Force.
