5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent extra tracks!, 6 April 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I reviewed the original release of HBD2 and gave it 4 stars. If you need to know what the bulk of the cd is like then please read that and the other reviews.
This is just to let anyone interested know that the 3 extra tracks on this Special Edition release are excellent.
I was fully aware that there were only 3 extra audio tracks on this release and even though id got the original i thought for £9 id give it a go.
Devils Hole, the first new track, is straight into Rob Zombie heavyness at his best! Imagine something similar to 'I Zombie' from the Astrocreep Cd and your not far off.
The second new track, Everythings Boring, is just as good with the 1st verse starting after the intro with deep, ominous piano type sound, closely followed by a massive, chunky riff.
Theyre both just what ive been wanting from RZ for some time and my 2 favourite tracks off the CD.
The third new track, Michael, is a slow more chilled out one which in the past iv not liked RZ doing. However this track has really grown on me and the almost Blues like guitar solo in it was great.

In summery, if your a big Rob/ White Zombie fan then you really should buy this if you can get it for £9 like i did.
The new tracks are easily worth £3 each as far as im concerned.

Oh... and theres a DVD with a few videos on it too...which ive not looked at yet :-/
Not the best review iv ever done but i was just that impressed with the extra tracks i thought id add my thoughts.

1.0 out of 5 stars New version?? Just one less track!, 17 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Blakroc (Audio CD)
Ok, firstly the 1 star review is misleading. I bought the 'original' verison of this and would have given 5 stars had i done a review. Absolutely brilliant! (read the reviews for it)
I gave that CD away as an emergencey xmas present (someone id forgot!)and bought this 'new version' for myself.
As far as i can tell, its exactly the same as the original version... but the tracks are in a different order and there is one track 'Coochie', missing.
So the 1 star review is really just to say DONT buy this, but DO buy the original!
If im missing something then please let me know.
More Blakroc to come this year apparantly. Great news!

4.0 out of 5 stars Great game, but where's the replay??, 11 Jan. 2011
I've never really been into the NFS games but after playing the demo (and seeing it for £25 on amazon!) i had to buy it.
The cars look fantastic, as do the areas you race on, the handling is easy to get into but difficult to master and the autolog is really well implemented. Autolog shows you your friends times when loading the event you are about to play and also your previous best if you've played it before. If you beat a friends time, a quick press of a button will inform them you have beaten their time and also make a note of this against the event on the Map and in a seperate area called the Wall. You can view the wall, see a friend has beaten one of your times and one more press of a button will take you directly back to that event so you can try and regain top spot (or whichever spot you lost!).
This gives the game fantastic replay value.
The events themselves are generally great fun though i did find the ones which are basically time trials a little dull compared to events with other racers/ cops in but thats just a personal preference and they are probably only 10-15% of the single player game.

There are 2 points that i find HUGELY disappointing but fortunately still dont ruin the game for me.
The first is a total lack of TV style replay after the race. Maybe its a technical issue, but replays of these races would have been THE most amazing and spectacular i have ever seen on any system. Correct me if im wrong but it seems that the racing games with the most spectacular action/ crashes rarely seem to have a replay. Im looking at you Blur, Burnout Paradise and Split Second. Ok, DIRT has them but you get my drift.
The second point is in multiplayer. Unless im missing something obvious, there does not seem to be a way to form a lobby with a freind and then join a game together. This seems such an obvious omission that i hardly dare mention it as im still hoping its me that is missing something simple. If it is, fine! Just let me know how to do it please!
This is still a great game though and one which id totally recommend to anyone into arcade style racing games.
Saying that, ive loved playing Forza for the last year or so and they couldnt be more different, so give it a go whatever racing games you like.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like westerns and games? Go buy it now..go on.. off you go!!, 22 Jun. 2010
There are plenty of really good, indepth reviews here so ill keep this one short.
If you like westerns and like games, just go out and buy it! Ok, ill make it slightly longer than that!
Ive played all the GTA games and loved them all apart from the GTA 4 ( i realise im in the minority)which i just didnt get into. RDR however is a totally different matter. Everything that i didnt feel worked very well in GTA 4, the transport and the shooting, seem to work so much better in RDR.
I DO love westerns, particularly the Clint Eastwood ones and i just loved everything about this game and got totally into it. If you dont like spending time riding between destinations then you can simply set up camp and choose to travel there instantly but i hardly ever found myself doing this as i enjoyed riding round so much seeing what turned up on the way because something interesting usually would.
Ive read comments that the game is full of bugs but ive played this, finished it, played it more and played online and i have noticed nothing to speak of. I have installed it to hard drive, maybe that makes a difference.
Anyway, if you want indepth details on this, read the other reviews. Ill just go back to my first comment that if you like westerns and like games, just go out and buy it!
My first ever 5/5 review by the way :-)

4.0 out of 5 stars Mixed feelings, 28 April 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Rise Up (Audio CD)
This is a confusing review to write for me for reasons i'll get into but here goes!
Im a massive Cypress Hill fan and would have bought this no matter what reviews it got but ive got to say im slightly disappointed. This is where the confusion is because it IS a good cd, its just not quite what i was hoping for. Personally i like a good bassline but on this CD, Cypress Hill lean more towards a massive beat with drums really forward in the mix and the bassline there if you listen for it. Before anyone comments that this is becasue of my sound system, it really isnt!
Again, im not saying this makes it bad, just not what I was hoping for but there are some great tracks on here.
The first track It aint nothin' is fast paced with the huge beat i mentioned earlier (i'll stop going on about that now!), followed by the slightly slower paced Light it up. Rise up with the brilliant Tom Morello on guitar is good but im not really a fan of CH going down the rock/rap route. I AM a fan of the genre and huge fan of Rage Against the Machine but i dont find it suits CH very well.
Im not doing a track by track review but ive got to mention track 5, Pass the Dutch, as in my opinion its just a mess! The bass, drums and vocals are just all over the place and feel like theyve come from different tracks and were just thrown together at the last minute.
Track 9, Carry me Away is the most chilled out track on the CD in my opinion and therefore my favourite at the moment. This is followed by Trouble Seeker, another rock/rap track though this is heavier than Rise Up and (do i have to keep saying 'in my opinion'? Its my review right?:) less enjoyable for it.
The remainder of the CD is pretty good but doesnt provide any more slow, chilled out tracks that i personally like and that i expect of CH. Maybe they're not indulging in their (and most of their fans) favourite pastime so much these days!
Well i DID say this was a confusing review and im certainly not going to win any awards for it!
To conclude, i DO like this which is why ive given it 4/5 and i hope it grows on me even more as i listen to it. But if you are after a CD to chill out to i would point you towards Blakroc, which did for me everything i hoped this latest one from CH would.
Hope you enjoy it, cheers!

4.0 out of 5 stars A return to form., 17 Feb. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Hellbilly Deluxe 2 (Audio CD)
Im still a massive fan of White Zombies Astro Creep 2000 and the first Rob Zombie solo cd Hellbilly deluxe and fully admit that anything he does that doesnt have the same production style of those and to some extent the Sinister Urge cd, is always going to disappoint me. If your new to White/ Rob Zombie then id suggest picking them up first.
Hellbilly Deluxe 2 isnt similar to those in that way but its really grown on me and i now really like nearly every track on it. The style of HBD2 is similar to his last effort Educated Horses, a cd i was hugely disappointed with but the actual tracks are (in my opinion) much much better with some great riffs and rolling basslines and Robs vocals doing what you'd expect.
A definate return to form which im really pleased about but theres still a part of me that wants to hear the huge production style of Astro Creep and Hellbilly Deluxe return, as they are 2 of my all time favourite CDs. What about another remix cd Mr.Zombie?
Play it loud and enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant! More tracks please!!!, 16 Jun. 2009
I was a latecomer to Guitar games but since getting GH3 and loving it, ive bought and played nearly ever similar game released. THIS in my opinion is the most enjoyable of the lot!!
I AM a fan of Metallica, though i wouldnt consider myself to be a blindly loyal one but i must say that i got a HUGE amount of enjoyment from playing tracks i've liked for years. Sad but true, master of puppets, orion, Sanitarium and many others made me grin more than i can remember any other guitar game doing!
The only problem i have with this game is the actual number of tracks on the disc and the number of tracks by Metallica. When Rock Band 2 and GH:WT have 80+ tracks on disc on release, 40+ doesnt really seem good value. Though i suppose as many of the Metallica tracks are over 8 minutes long the total playing time may not be too bad.
I am pleased how the career mode works in a similar way to Rock Band2 eg numerous gigs with a selection of the songs in each one and im currently sat at work, waiting to finish early before the Mrs gets home, so i can turn the volume up and carry on playing!

3.0 out of 5 stars Unspectacular but enjoyable!, 8 May 2009

Being a fan of cypress hill and the first 2 gunslingers albums i was always going to buy this. If you've read the other review for this giving it 2 out of 5 then im not going to wildly disagree with that one but i DO feel that it has grown on me a hell of a lot.
On first listen there wasnt a particular track that stood out and even now i dont think it has the impact that most cypress hill albums have. But once you remind yourself that this isnt cypress hill, you can maybe appreciate it for what it is. Its just much more laid back in my opinion. The title tracks great, gangsta music, get that dough, stackin paper, 1 life and when they hate you, are all now amongst my favourite tracks to chill out to. The production also helps give it a smooth feeling, even on the more upbeat ones.
Its all personal but if your a fan of cypress hill etc and can deal with an album of that type of music, minus anything 'edgy', then give this a go. If you dont like it, give it another 5 or 6 goes.

4.0 out of 5 stars Got a plastic guitar? Then buy this!, 3 Mar. 2009
This review is from: AC/DC Live: Rockband (Video Game)
If you lke ACDC and/ or guitar games you really should buy this.
I was initialy disapointed that the tracks were going to be live but slightly hopefuly at the same time, as ACDC live at Donnington is generally regarded as one of the best live DVDs made. (I was there by the way :-)
It doesnt disappoint in my opinion. The live tracks work fantastically, which they should do when you think about it, as in the game your playing as a band performing live!
Ideally i would have liked this to be a full ACDC game with the character models and guitar battles etc but if you take it for what it is eg a track pack(as it says on the box!)its great.
I play Rock band on the Hard level and found most of the ACDC tracks to be a solid challenge. Angus isnt one for finger tapping etc so most of the solos are picked (strummed)which in my opinion makes them different to most Rock Band solos.
I got this for £24.99 from Amazon, downloaded the tracks to Rock Band 2 and then gave it to my brother whos got a standard size hard drive, so for us both, it was excellent value!

2.0 out of 5 stars Why ??, 9 May 2008
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Ok, my first ever review. So here are similar CDs that i like- Cypress Hill Black Sunday, Temples of Boom and Till Death us do Part. Executioners Built from Scratch, Wu Tang 36 Chambers etc. Also B Real Gunslinger 1 was excellent and 2 was very good.
Gunslinger 3: for a few dollars more could well be good, but the whole thing for me is ruined by Tony Touch. You may notice on the cover that the CD is 'mixed and hosted by Tony Touch.' What this in reality means is TT shouting 'Yeah yeah', 'C'mon' and other standard DJ stuff, at every INappropriate moment through a cheap distorted mic set at a level twice as loud as anything else on the CD. This isnt just at the start or end of the track, its during verses, choruses and... well, anywhere were its guaranteed to totally ruin the chilled out track you were listening to. You may think im missing the point but i have heard similar things done much, much better and without spoiling the mood.
I cant give a track by track opinion because it just irritated the cr@p out of me but if you dont mind this sort of thing, but done really badly and you liked Gunslingers 1 and 2 then you may like it.
If you're irritated by someone ruining your chilled out music, then stay the hell away from this.
