Push Back: A Post Apocalyptic Thriller (The Disruption Series Book 2)
Push Back: A Post Apocalyptic Thriller (The Disruption Series Book 2)
Price: £3.99

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent read, 28 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The first book in the series - Under a Tell-Tale Sky - was my first (tentative) foray into any type of post-apocalyptic fiction and having read it, I couldn't wait for the next instalment and 'Push Back' certainly does not disappoint! It is the continuing story of survival in a chaotic and unruly USA following a catastrophic natural disaster that wipes out the electrical grid network. There are the usual good and bad guys and the well structured story flits from one interwoven group to another keeping the reader gripped throughout. This is a real page turner and you will quickly care for the characters in the book (well - the good guys certainly!). It is written in a no-nonsense manner with the reader being able to enjoy it without being bogged down in technical jargon. Although this is fiction, it is not 'over-the-top' post-apocalyptic fiction such as 'The Walking Dead' type of story; this story is quite credible throughout and does not reach a point of suspending belief. I can easily picture these books becoming a successful television series to match or better those of a similar genre. If you haven't read the first book in the series then I suggest you buy and read it first; you will not be disappointed. Early days, but I can't wait for the next instalment to appear - congratulations to the Author for another excellent book!
(Please note: I was given an advance reader's copy of this book at no cost in exchange for an unbiased review but I have now purchased a copy of it.)

5.0 out of 5 stars Does not disappoint!, 29 Dec. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I received an advance copy of this thriller from the author a few days ago in exchange for an honest review of it. Needless to say, the third book in the Ethan Galaal series does not disappoint. Ethan, mentally troubled by a particular past event, and his beautiful new partner Bretta find themselves in a race against time to stop a devastating world-scale attack by a dangerous self-styled Ismalist Caliph. The action is non-stop addictive reading and takes our heroes from the Middle East to the Far East and Europe. The author's attention to military detail and equipment, and his knowledge of Islam appears to be extremely good; I found myself wondering how much of the fiction was indeed fact! I've never read any of the author's sci-fi works, as the genre has never interested me before, but after reading this and the previous two Ethan Galaal books I may just dip my toes in the water!

The fourth book in the Nick Sullivan series doesn't fail to deliver a cracking good read. I 'discovered' the Nick Sullivan series by accident but had to read them all consecutively! Fast paced and a real page turner.

Good sturdy bag for my tripod (although made of a thin light material), at a very reasonable price. Adjustable shoulder sling ensures it stays attached to me.

I used these to clean my DSLR sensor. Had to do it twice as first time I wasn't happy with the result. Put less liquid on the second time and bingo....a nice clean sensor.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but not Great, 25 April 2010
This review is from: Crazy Love (Audio CD)
Cry me a River is such a powerful song and brilliantly executed by Buble; the remaining tracks were pretty average but for me that can be excused for the great voice and performance.
