1.0 out of 5 stars Complete Rubbish!, 16 Aug. 2014
This review is from: Poison Heads (Kindle Edition)
This book is badly written and littered with spelling mistakes - example: the Chief Constable of the time was called Anderton, not Anderson as he describes him. The training school is Bruche not Bruce. And the description of the female officer being killed by a vehicle in the Salford underpass is nonsense - if this had happened she would have been remembered on the Police Roll of Honour.
What axe does this guy have to grind with GMP? Too much fiction and not enough fact - I was a serving officer at the time and can honestly say that I've never read such tripe in all my life!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 17 Sept. 2009
What a good book this is - I couldn't put it down. Excellent read if you're a Wigan fan, just as good if you're not. Tells the story of his rugby career, the people he's worked with and his visit to his grandfether's grave in Poland - brought a lump to the throat.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it!, 17 Sept. 2009
This is a patchwork book that pushes colour boundaries and there are some really great ideas with colours together that you just wouldn't think would look right. It's like old fashioned patchwork with modern ideas all put together in a way that makes you think 'I could do that!' Well worth the money, even if you only look at the book and don't actually make any of the designs - I was inspired!!
