My horsefield tortoise seems to really enjoy it - would never use in place of fresh food but I think it's a good supplement if you are running low on supplies or weeds in winter etc . Soak in a wee bit of water first then watch them tuck in!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing product love it!!!, 27 Aug. 2015

Was recommended this by my eyebrow stylist hadnt heard of it before but her's look immaculate so went and treated myself...

Best product ever, ive used quite a few pencils and powders on my brows but this is a simple, one tin that just does the job exactly right - deep color, can shape them perfectly and it literally lasts all day.

I have blonde hair but use the brown as i like my statement brows it is very prominent on and dont need a lot - didnt even remember that my eyebrows hadnt been done in 6 weeks as wear this everyday and they look brand salon new.

If you love your HD brows would say this is a must.

4.0 out of 5 stars Definately one of the better modern 'Hardcore' compilations, 29 July 2015

Definately one of the better modern 'Hardcore' compilations. Always been a massive Darren Styles fan and there are plenty tracks on here that should satisfy.
The first and third CDs I listen to most of the way through hardly skipping any tracks - unlike some of the other clublands i have bought recently that focus far too much on mainstream chart pop remixes which this manages to more or less avoid.

Must say im not a fan of the second CD so much but the other two more than make up for it for the price - would definately recommend!!

I love this album, I paid a fair amount for it due to not being able to find it in any of my local music stores, and its definately worth every penny!! Mine was an import but still arrived within the week!

Man on the Run is one of my favourite songs ever, going through a bad break up and the lyrics just made complete sense and felt like it was sung from the heart! Emotional trance music at its best for anyone that enjoys that kind of thing!

The tracks are all very easy to get into and once youve listened to it once ul be singing along. The opening track sets the tone for the whole album and it doesnt dissapoint. Waiting is a brilliant collaboration.

Would love to see Dash Berlin live, but this album will do meantime - a must for any trance and dance fan!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing All Round!, 20 Oct. 2013
This review is from: True (Audio CD)
I love dance music and have thus far loved all Aviici's releases, when I first heard Wake Me Up I absolutely loved it, and how it perfectly blended dance and country music to come up with a unique sound.

Hey Brother is an outstanding track, cant stop listening to it.

Would recommend this album to anyone, its energetic and relaxing all at once if thats possible and manages to cater to a broader market than just the dance/club scene Aviici was previously known for.

I dont think theres a bad track on it, and thats rare for any album to achieve. I think most people will recognise at least two tracks off the album even if they think theyve never heard any before as theyre everywhere - and with good reason!

5.0 out of 5 stars Non-stop epic tunes!, 26 Jan. 2011
This review is from: One Love (New Version) (Audio CD)
I've been a massive fan of David Guetta since Love Don't Let Me Go, and bought this album after enjoying his album Pop Life.
I have owned it for months now and still its always the CD I have on wenever Im getting ready to go out, its just brilliant, I listen to every single tune on the album, which is pretty rare as theres usually at least a few you really don't like! Personally I think he only gets better as DJ as i'd say this album has the catchiest and most listenable tunes out of his albums.
Most of the songs are very dancefloor ready and all the hit singles are on aswell, Sexy Chick, When Love Takes Over...my personal favorite is Memories which has been my favorite song ever since I first heard it
Id recommend this album to everybody who enjoys dance music with a good beat and confidently say im sure you won't be dissapointed. As soon as David Guetta releases a new album, il be buying it the day it comes out!

4.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun - and its beautiful to look at!, 15 Feb. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I recently got a Nintendo DS and bought this game as one my first games, as it was really cheap but also had great reviews on Amazon so thought I'd give it a go.
I wasn't dissapointed, unlike some games it is very easy to understand so you get straight into it and its very addictive, as once you start completing levels you want to get onto the next one and so on.
As the other reviewers have said, the graphics are indeed beautiful, and highly colourful which helps make the game even more enjoyable.
The only downside is it is quite samey so if like me you have a very short attention span you will have lots of fun for an hour or two at a time then have to move onto something different!!!
Overall one of the best games i've had so far on the DS, and at this price you can't really lose anyway!

Bit Of A Blur: The Autobiography
Bit Of A Blur: The Autobiography
by Alex James
Edition: Hardcover

4.0 out of 5 stars Very entertaining read, 4 Aug. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Being a bit of a Blur fan I had to own this book, and its exactly what I expected - a entertaining and inciteful insight into Alex James' life from his college days, rise to celebrity and eventual change into family man. It is not a book about BLUR as a band, the other members are not given extreme detail, but why would they, this is Alex James's autobiography, about HIS life as part of one of the biggest bands in Britain.

He comes across as laidback and sure of himself, and although he did engage in plenty of unsavoury actions (cheating on his girfriend several times, partying all night every night, for example) you cant help but feel that almost any 20 year old thrust into fame and money would behave in the same way. But despite all this his intellect and inquisitive nature shine through with his love of astronomy and flying also being written about. He doesnt talk much about the Britpop scene or Graeme Coxons departure from the band which perhaps I would have liked a bit more of, but its a fascinating trip into the madness of being in a rock band and the lifestyle it affords you.

Overall its a very entertaining read, not lingering too long on any one area and with plenty amusing anecdotes. Id recommend it to anyone whos a Blur fan, or intrigued by decadent celebrity culture (as this is what a large part of the book talks about) But if you are looking for a book with indepth writings about the Blur as recording artists and the whole Britpop scene read 'The Last Party' by John Harris or 'Blur 3862 days' (fantastic read, but quite rare Im still trying to get my own copy at reasonable price!).

4.0 out of 5 stars The Manics prove they're still the best, 20 July 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As a long time Manics fan I'd have bought this album regardless of the reviews on here. And I certainly wasnt dissapointed.

It has been said 'Journal For Plague Lovers' is a return to the 'old manics' and is in a similar vein to their masterpiece 'The Holy Bible'. It is easy to see how you can make these claims. All the lyrics are by missing since 1995 lyricist Richey Edwards, just one look at the lyrics could affirm this. The album coverart is also by the same artist (Jenny Saville)whose work was used for The Holy Bible cover.

But despite all this its unfair to call this album The Holy Bible mk2. Its a far more personal album - while the bible was often political and has tracks about the Holocaust this album is more focussed on an individuals feelings. The lyrics are still pretty dark however, and not particularly radio friendly. The music is perhaps more akin to the music on that album than any of their other recent efforts, but is more polished, the sound of a band that know their stuff.

I dont pretend to understand all that Richey writes about, although final track Williams Last Words could perhaps have all too clear a meaning...personally I find it a track that brings a tear to my eye, but most of the songs still have a catchiness that will have you revisting this album time and time again. There are no weak links here.

This album shows the Manic Street Preachers are still a fantastic band (and their recent performance at T in the Park definately confirmed this) who aren't afraid to try something different, and are not out just to sell mindless millions of records. With their last album, Send Away the Tigers, they were also on form and this cements their position as one of the most though provoking bands to ever come out of Britain.

A fitting tribute to Richey Edwards, im sure he would have thought highly of the music put to his lyrics here.

Lets hope they continue making such brilliant records.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ultrabeat - still great!, 26 Jan. 2009
This review is from: Disco Lights (Audio CD)
I received this album for my birthday earlier this month (according to amazon its still not released, but iv seen it in HMV!)and its been in my car since - as usual Ultrabeat have come up with some very catchy tunes.

I was slightly disappointed with their first album as it was basically full of tunes available on every other dance record out there, but this has plenty tunes you wont have heard before, single Discolights, The Stalker, What Will it Take and Pocketful of Love being the highlights - although its one of those great albums that you can listen to from start to end and not dislike any track enough to have to skip it!!

My only downside would be that there isnt quite the amazing, inspirational tracks such as Pretty Green Eyes or Elysium. But theres still plenty high quality stuff on here and it keeps growing on you.

A must have for any dance fan, Ultrabeat are still one of the best acts out there.
