I have been an ardent fan of Gordon Ferris since reading his first book, The Hanging Shed. Despite the maybe off putting title it was an excellent book capturing the post war feel of the country and the difficulty many ex servicemen had in adjusting to a country craving normality. Every one of his subsequent books has met the expectations which the first one achieved. The Money tree very definitely carries on the tradition of well crafted writing and development of characters. Bang up to date in its theme it was a joy to read and unfortunately finished all to quickly. I never normally review a book but on this occasion would thoroughly recommend this book and all of his other books to anyone reading this review.

Having read all the Faraday/Winter books I think this is by far the best and the last in this series. It pulls all the strands of the other books together and the ending is to die for! The author has the ability to switch your reading of the central character seamlessly drawing you into the subsequent central character. A cracking read I can't wait for the new series!!
