Katy
When Katy falls off her swing and breaks her spine, her whole life is turned topsy-turvy...
Before her accident, Katy and her step-mother weren’t exactly the best of friends, but the accident means that Izzie (Katy’s step-mother) has to give up her job, and both of them being at home all day helps each of them to more friendly towards each other. When Katy goes back to school, which is not very nice at the beginning because she has to use a wheel chair because her legs are paralysed, but then in a PE lesson she gets a chance to do sports in her wheel chair, and she realises that everything isn’t so bad after all...
If you have read What Katy did, then you will enjoy Katy a lot. Katy is very similar to What Katy did, but Katy is based in our time. Both books are similar but different at the same time e.g. In What Katy did it’s cousin Helen that comes to visit, but in Katy it’s Helen; one of their dad’s patients.
The main character is Katy, she is an adventurous and lively 11 year old who lives with her father, her step-mother, and her 5 brothers and sisters: Clover, Elsie, Dorry, Jonnie, and Phil.
I think you should read Katy because it’s an interesting and exciting novel, full of happiness, and sadness. I could not stop reading Katy because I always wanting to know what happens next. I recommend if you want to read Katy you should read What Katy did either after or before. I was counting down the days until Katy came out because I really love the author: Jacqueline Wilson’s books (I have read all of her books!) and because I had read Katy because I have read What Katy did and was looking forward to find out about Katy.
Jacqueline Wilson has written over a hundred books! I really like her books because they are: happy, sad, exciting, and interesting. I hope you will read Katy and enjoy it like I did!

5.0 out of 5 stars Gwych, 19 Feb. 2015
Pan ddaw pobl ddierth i’r fferm, mae Capten (y ceffyl sydd yn un o brif gymeriadau’r nofel) yn eu clywed yn dweud ‘Good morning’ ac mae’n gwybod eu bod yn siarad Saesneg. Ond does ganddo ddim syniad pam maent wedi dod i’r fferm. Yn fuan iawn mae’n darganfod pam, pan mae’n cael ei arwain i ‘wlad y pyramidiau duon’, sef y pwll glo...
Mae’r nofel wych hon yn cael ei hadrodd mewn dau lais: Capten y ceffyl a Mathew ‘mouth organ’ Evans bob yn ail bennod. O dan y ddaear mae Mathew a Handel (sef enw newydd Capten) yn gweithio gyda’i gilydd ac maent yn dod yn ffrindiau mawr. Rydw i wedi mwynhau’r nofel oherwydd mae’n eich tynnu i lawr i’r pyllau glo gyda Capten a Mathew.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!, 19 Feb. 2015

When Tina's Gran and Grandad take her and and her other triplets to the zoo, Tina is mesmerised by the butterflies. In her school they are doing a project on life cycles and they start with the caterpillar, and Tina draws a beautiful picture of a butterfly and her teacher pins it on the wall. When she is ill her teacher brings her a book about butterflies, a sketch pad, pencils and some work to do.
Because Tina has no garden at home Miss Lovejoy (her teacher) has an idea, she let's Tina make a butterfly garden in school, but there is one problem, Selma the class bully has to help her. As a result of working together Selma stops being mean and she and Tina become friends.
This wonderful novel shows a little girl who is the weakest of the triplets, learning to stand on her own two feet, and a bully who changes a lot after being nicely by Tina.
I am sure you will like this book because it is fast-moving, interesting (you learn a lot of facts about butterflies) and heart warming.

'Boys Don't Knit' is a very good novel. It is the diary of Ben Fletcher. In the novel Ben gets an email from the probation service that contains a list of subjects that he has to choose from. Ben chooses knitting because he thinks it would be the least worst. But after a few lessons Ben develops a secret love for knitting, and when Ben enters the knitting world championships the question is: will he be able to keep it a secret? I'm sure you will enjoy 'Boys Don't Knit'. It really is an unputdownable book.

This review is from: Nico (Cyfres Mellt) (Paperback)
Mae 'Nico' yn nofel dda iawn. Y prif gymeriadau yw Nico, Magi, Dyddgu a Dad. Mae'n nofel yn y person cyntaf, felly Nico sy'n adrodd y stori. mae'r plot am fachgen o'r enw Nico sy'n mynd allan un noson i'r llyn ac yn ffeindio neges mewn potel. Ond dydy Nico ddim yn sylweddoli i faint o drybini y bydd y botel yma yn ei arwain. Rydw i'n siwr y byddwch yn methu rhoi 'Nico' i lawr, oherwydd mae e mor gyffrous!

'Demon Dentist' is an amazingly fantastic book. The main plot is about a boy called Alfie and his friend Gabz, who try to defeat the tooth witch. She takes teeth but leaves things so horrible they are unmentionable... This novel is told in the third person. 'Demon Dentist' is funny, scary, and at the end a little sad. There are quite a log of made up words e.g. yankers. Read it if you dare! Oh yes, one more thing: BE PREPARED TO LAUGHT YOUR HEAD OFF!
