Not as good as the first in the series but it's an interesting sequel. It can overestimate the likelihood of events and people's abilities.

3.0 out of 5 stars Mockingjay(the third book of the hunger games), 24 Feb. 2013

This book is an unceremonious end to the series. Katniss spends the majority of the book either sick or unconscious. The attack on the capital is quite thrilling but the end feels very rushed, depressing and unlikely. I would only recommend this book who have read the first two and wish to find out the ending.

Catching Fire is an interesting and imaginative twist on the first hunger games. It shows , as promised , Katniss' world turned upside down from a choice she made in the first book . It is nowhere near as superb as the first but has a detailed plotline that a reader will enjoy. It is not necessary to read the following two hunger games after finishing the first as a reader can imagine a better plotline and leave the splendour of the first hunger games undamaged by the following two.
