5.0 out of 5 stars Superb drama, 6 Jan. 2015
Brilliant….only the BBC can produce drama like this. Could watch over and over again. I love history and this more than matched my expectations.

2.0 out of 5 stars More of a romantic novel, 16 July 2014
It's okay read but if you want a thoroughly researched book into the revolution and the characters in it I would look elsewhere. There is 75% of conjecture and opinion and sometimes the author slips into a mills and boon romantic type novel with lots of descriptive mush that cannot be verified/accounted for. The book is not particularly balanced and is at odds with other historians when it comes to the personality and intelligence of the tsar. The way the author deals with the tragic last days of the tsar and his family and the inhumane way in which they were dealt with is probably the most incisive part of the book............. Readable but thats about it.

1.0 out of 5 stars What a waste !!, 16 Nov. 2011
Where do I start with this piece of plastic rubbish? We opened the packaging and straight away we knew we were in trouble. To say the instructions were complicated would be an understatement. There are 93, yes 93, pictures of differing permutations as to how to put this toy together. There are no accompanying words just pictures of often indistinguishable grey bits of the toy with a red blob that supposedly shows you what to do. My eyesight is pretty good but I couldn't make out what bits they were referring to. Without doubt the worst ever present we have bought. If you are thinking of buying this for your kids at Christmas then you'll probably be putting it together on New Years Eve. Mind you that could be a good party game for any guests, so it could have some use after all..
