I found this book delightful. Informative, and entertaining, well researched, but above all, appetising. It makes you want to try the gins it covers, and appreciate this drink which is too often treated as whisky's poor relation. Read it with a full glass at your elbow, it's a happy experience.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Must-buy!, 22 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The whisky wizard writes again! As if the first book was not enough to last a lifetime for most of us, here is another even more tantalising glimpse into whiskies you have never tasted. But once you have read Ian Buxton's forthright explanation of them, curiosity and intrigue are aroused, along with your taste buds. This book makes you want to taste even more whiskies you had never heard of before, from places you never knew made whisky. Now we've all got 202 whiskies on the list, we had better get to work before the next book comes out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not to be missed!, 22 Oct. 2012
Ian Buxton's book is a revelation. The range and style of whiskies in this book are a surprise even to a hardened whisky lover. They extend the experience of whisky into a new dimension. At the same time, the text commentary is understandable, down-to-earth and enlightening for the layman. There are no specialised insider hurdles for the unwary, just a joyful appreciation of the pleasures that this wonderful product can provide. I cannot recommend this book highly enough.
