The Reckless Years: A Marriage made in Chemical Heaven (Kindle Edition)
Frank and Madge start their addictive journey together by dabbling in recreational drugs with recreational results, but all too quickly it stops being fun and develops into a destructive way of coping with the past and surviving the present.

The Reckless Years is a remarkable memoir, told through the eyes of two people in love, who have seen the very worst of each other, and have come out the other side somewhat scarred, battered and bruised but incredibly still together. Frank and Madge, you're amazing!

The handle keeping sliding back into the housing when you are using it. I had to strongly resist the temptation to hurl it through the window. The only thing that stopped me was that a) the window was closed and b) I still had three quarters of the room to finish.

I loved reading this well written and very engaging memoir. The audio version is even better, because it adds layers of richness with spoken French which can pass you by in the written version. One of the best memoirs that I have read/listened to in a very long time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Frank Kusy at his very best, 16 Dec. 2016
As a rule I don't like short stories, they always leave me wanting more; so it was with some trepidation that i tackled Frank Kusy's new book - "Short Tails of Cats ans Other Curious Creatures". And I was left wanting more... more of Frank's short stories. Some were funny, some prophetic and others just downright scary. Some were about Frank and his wife Madge, (I loved "Cream") others reflections of everyday life (I Fix You Good), but every single one has the Frank Factor and that's what lifts his short stories from the dross that we are bombarded with day after day. Frank Kusy, are you sure you're not a reincarnation of Roald Dahl?"

Frank Kusy never fails to amaze, this is his fifth memoir based around the time he spent travelling in India, and it is Brilliant. Fly with Frank as he whizzes through India at break neck speed on a literary "magic carpet " Where places and people are richly interwoven with sights, sounds and smells of his journey. A colourful three dimensional memoir that fills the senses and still leaves you gagging for more.

A wonderful and powerfully written memoir about Geoff and Helen's experience of "you never know what's around the corner" life changing event. Their love for each other and their tenacity to overcome seemingly insummountable problems shines through the pages, along with the support and devotion of their family, work colleagues and many friends.

A wonderful biography of able seaman Simon's career on HMS Amethyst. Beautifully written, narrated (audio version) and characterized. I loved Simon's language aquisition progression. It could be a useful cross curricular book for students studying both British history and English Language at GCSE level.

This is book 2 in Alex Cotton's hilarious series of memoirs of her somewhat unconventional teenage years in Yorkshire. An excellent sequal to "Don't look at me in that tone of voice.
