5.0 out of 5 stars Evangeilon - A modern classic, 16 July 2003
How does one explain Neon Genesis Evangelion(NGE).
To encapsulate the story of NGE one must of course first point out that it is far from a run of the Mecha (giant robot) story but is in fact an insight into humanity.
Set in a post apocalyptical world Ikari Shinji and his fellow pilots the mysterious Ayanami Rei and the fiery Asuka Langley Soryu battle monstrous creature the so called "Angels" using the Evangelions a creation of mans science.
As the story leads us along the path Shinji-kun has to tread we discover that the hardest battle indeed the only true battle is not with the angels but perhaps with ones own sprit.
Neon Genesis Evangelion book 3 is a worthy continuation of this epic tale but indeed I need not say this because if you have books 1 and 2 you will already have this title on your wish list.

5.0 out of 5 stars a world class story but a strange DVD, 6 Feb. 2002
i can't say enough how much of a top class production Remembrance Of The Daleks is unfortunatly there is one problem with this DVD the terible lipsynch ... most noticible in early scenes (doctor and ace talking outside the "detector van") this is a disapointment but the sheer quality makes you forget this quickly also another bonus was the extended footage of some scenes notably the conversation between the doctor and the black assistant at the cafe -- Toby Stack
