5.0 out of 5 stars A beauty..., 22 May 2009
This review is from: My One and Only Thrill (Audio CD)
Beautiful vocals, sweeping orchestral movements and strong choice of songs/songwriting. Relaxing, contemplative, invocative, etc. A really great, chilled album - perfect soundtrack to a lazy afternoon in the sun.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very good, but..., 22 May 2009
This review is from: Wild Young Hearts (Audio CD)
Between their last album (What's the time Mr Wolf?) and this, they seemed to have mellowed somewhat. Being a big fan of the uplifting, stonking musicality of the previous album I was slightly disappointed at first listen, but it's still a very strong album and I recommend it. I just hope they're not written off for their links to a certain advert...

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving the series, 22 May 2009
Loving the Seventh Tower series - the only draw back being that they're too short and having to wait a couple of months for the next one to be published. If you're a fan of Garth Nix don't be put by the fact that they are short, they are vivid and exciting, and will just make you appreciate the next chapter when it's released - roll on June.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stomping, 22 May 2009
This review is from: Whats The Time Mr Wolf (Audio CD)
Fantastic musically/instrumentally, with only a couple of lyrical glitches (e.g. Mind the Gap?!), but the whole enthusiasm of the album makes up for that. Love it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but predictable, 22 May 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
As title states - it's ok, but very predictable. Don't think the live-action movie missed anything but not including this side-line story within it. If you're a big fan of Watchmen then give it a shot, but for everyone else you won't really be missing out if you don't buy/see this.

4.0 out of 5 stars Near pop-perfect, 6 April 2009
Uplifting pop music - if that's what you're after then this is a good buy. Album isn't perfect but the bonus tracks make up for the couple of inevitable album-filler tracks that appear (including the title track). The tracks 'If I Can't Have You' and 'Whyyawannabringmedown' are almost worth the cost of the album alone - great tunes to get you ready for that night on the tiles.
