4.0 out of 5 stars Reality in Jamiaca, 1 Sept. 2010

This guy has some real potential.

Not a fan of some of the vocal processing, BUT - listen to the lyrics. He is singing about the reality in Jamaica, and it sounds totally heartfelt.

5.0 out of 5 stars A survivor, unclouded by consciounce, remorse, or delusions of morality, 1 Sept. 2010
This review is from: Alien [DVD] [1979] (DVD)
Such a great movie, still hasn't been a Sci-Fi Horror that can beat it for atmosphere and sheer terror. The Alien has been the focus of all my bad dreams ever since I first watched this as a youngster. Truly the scariest creature ever depicted in film.

Listened to it recently (the images are burned in my head anyway) and have to say it scared me more than watching it. The score just makes me shiver.

There's still legs in this franchise - they need to leave the Predator out and get back to making alien vs human films again.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is going to be the most astounding thing you've ever heard..., 31 Aug. 2010
... and I say this knowing a man of your caliber and profession.

Still is one of the most fun, funky, beautiful, and out-there mixes ever.

And to think they managed this in one take.

Awesome, Awesome, Awesome.

5.0 out of 5 stars Dirty Angel Face, 31 Aug. 2010
This review is from: Black Cherry (Audio CD)
Bought this a few weeks after it's release expecting more Felt Mountain. Listened to it once and left it for years. Shame on me. Bought Head First on the strength of some reviews, and to be a completist bought the rest of the albums too. After listening to them all virtually on repeat for the last few months, Black Cherry rates top for me alongside Seventh Tree. I can't get the hook from Crystalline Green out of my head.

Great production values, catchy songs, and such a sexy voice - it really is ear-pr0n sometimes.
