Child of the Night Guild (Queen of Thieves Book 1)
Price: £0.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Don't expect to put it down, 13 Mar. 2017
The first in the Queen of Thieves series by Andy Peloquin, Child of the night guild is a fantastic fantasy story that pulls you in with its raw emotion. Absolutely filled to the brim with adventure, drama and action. This is the first story I've read by Andy Peloquin and it certainly won't be the last I really can't wait to get stuck into the rest of the series.

Viola has just turned eight, after the tragic loss of her mother and sister, she's left with her angry alcoholic father. Clinging to the only thing she had left in this world, her father, sells her. To help pay off her father's debts she is sold to the night guild.

Left with strangers Viola’s is terrified and confused, her whole world thrown into disarray. One of twelve children taken to become trained in the art of thieving, they are stripped of all of their belonging and everything that makes them them, even their precious memories.

Gone is Viola now there is one Seven. Following Seven though her training along the way she makes a terrible enemy, that will stop at nothing to see her ended.

Has she got what it takes to be the best and stay alive?
From start to finish this story grabs hold of you and refuses to let go. Each of the characters are beautifully developed, I was completely enthralled. I really can't wait to get stuck into the rest of the series. Really well written and well deserving of its five stars. I really hope we don't have to long to wait for the next instalment!

A Quarter to Twelve: Book one in the Time Series
A Quarter to Twelve: Book one in the Time Series

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautiful romance, 10 Mar. 2017
A quarter to twelve by Josephine Trainor had us follow Ava in her first foray into online dating. After a divorce and many blind dates set up by her less than flattering mother. Ava is not as confident in her body as she would like, most thanks to her mother's constant jibes at her more squishy bits.

Ava's best friend has finally trapped her in to online dating. With her inbox almost full of of photos that no lady should have to see and a handful of dates that ranged from weird to full on awful.

Then she meets TrickyRicky, could he be the man of her dreams? Apparently the world is set against them. Just when Ava's ready to give up can their relationship be salvaged? Should she have just stayed wishfully pining over the cute man from the gym? Bad luck just seems to keep following Ava as she struggles to keep her love life afloat. With some very steamy action going on can Ava keep the man of her dreams or will he be snatched awake from her.

I have fallen in love with this story! A beautiful romance that I just couldn't put down. This story related to my life so much, you can feel the emotion coming off the pages. Light hearted and fun, the most unbelievable series of events turn and every day romance it to something so much more. The characters are so well developed, and so easy to enjoy.

This is my first story by Josephine Trainor and it most definitely will not be my last, it is so beautifully written, it's left me wanting more. This story deserves its five stars!

Kisses under the spotlight by Joanne Dannon, is the first in the Alex Jackson series. My first ever time reading anything from Joanne Dannon and I was not disappointed. The characters are easy to enjoy, as the story goes on and the characters pasts are revealed they grow and shift. Some of the more life like characters I have read about, full of true and raw emotion.

The story full of twists and turns that keep you hooked, you just can't put it down. The emotions between the Alex and Violet sizzles and burns red hot.

When Jazz superstar Alex Jackson suffers a mishap on stage Violet, a physio, is called in to help.Violet is wary of men after private pictures went viral so meeting her idol is a dream come true. Will Alex be what she expected? Or has she made yet another regrettable decision?

With a heated relationship blooming between Violet and Alex, Violet enjoys the now is blissful nights and hot and heavy mornings as they explore each other and their pasts. As Alex opens up about his past things begin to change. But this love has an end date, how will Violet cope when it's all over? And has Alex changed or was this who he was all along.

A well deserved five stars, a story that just keeps giving. Every twist and turn make the story come alive, the love and libidos are big and you couldn't ask for more, unless it's for another book!

W by Hal J. Friesen, the dinosaurs have been bought back by genetic modification technology. Lisa is battling for the earth spirit and The dinosaurs fate hangs on the interests of others.

X by BD Wilson. At a institute to cure disease Victor thinks he is helping the world by learning all the can about the fungus and germs that are killing off so many. But is he doing more harm to himself than good?

Y by Andrew Bourelle, a new drug is on the street one that contains Dino bones that makes it very powerful.

Z by Laura VanArendonk Baugh invites us into Briannas world in the story of Zlaenyans dragon.

A collection of stories that pull you in and whilst not all of them maybe your thing you will find at least a handful that grab your attention. Despite their length most are very detailed and you get a real feel for the characters. Beautifully written and very well laid out this anthology has a little bit of something to suit most tastes. I do feel some stories could have been a little longer but overall a lovely collection and it's very much deserves its four stars.

When Love Breaks (Book 1 of 2)
When Love Breaks (Book 1 of 2)
Price: £2.42

5.0 out of 5 stars A romance like no other, 5 Mar. 2017
When love breaks by Kate Squire is a romance like no other that pulls you into the couple's world filled with humour and raw emotion that threatens to bring a tears to your eyes and a smile to your face.

We first meet Elora who is a nervous care assistant, who has plenty of sass.
She begins work for the mysterious Logan. Who has managed to scare off seven care assistants with his sharp almost rude behaviour. Logan is a double amputee with a chip on his shoulder and a sour attitude but most importantly he hates his life.

When Elora walks in to his life things begin to change, he changes and works to become the man he feels this woman deserves. The story follows the two as they battle to be together. Elora struggles with her head and heart when she is faced with the challenge of possibly losing her job or him. With what is an almost impossible decision facing her her mind is made up for her when an Ex makes a stand.

When everything seems to be falling into place a shocking truth is revealed, can their relationship last or is it all over. Can they get over the mountain that seems to have grown between them and does her brother hold the key to smoothing the road.

My first ever read by Kate Squires, and it is most definitely not going to be my last a five star read in my book!
I'd love to see more about Elora and Logan's journey.
