Logitech K750 Wireless Solar Keyboard for Windows® XP, Windows Vista® , Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10 - QWERTY, UK Layout, Black

1.0 out of 5 stars Has to be disposed of once battery goes flat, 2 Dec. 2016
A good keyboard, but the battery is not replaceable so when it runs out (about 3 years) you have to throw the keyboard away even though in all other respects it's perfectly serviceable.

The solar panels provide most of the power but the keyboard won't operate once the backup battery goes flat.

This is the height of corporate irresponsibility. From an ecological perspective it's disgusting to make a product which is useless once the battery runs down. Landfill sites will be full of plastics and circuitry of many thousands of these keyboards because Logitech decided to use a non-replceable battery.

I, for one, will not be buying Logitech products in future.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brilliant read, 7 Jun. 2015
A fantastic read. Obviously we are only hearing one side of the story regarding all Jordan's conflicts, but he comes across as honest and forthright.

His experiences of football club ownership really were mind-boggling. The serious incompetence and duplicity of managers, players and administrative staff he employed is astounding.

For someone who built a company and sold it for £70 million in just 5 years he comes across as surprisingly naïve in some of his spending and the people he trusted.

He's absolutely an egomaniac who loves to be seen and seen be successful but he's also highly intelligent and driven but you can't help liking him. The chapter about the court case when he sued Iain Dowie had me laughing out load almost uncontrollably - Dowie doesn't come out of it at all well.

All in all a brilliant read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great sound, volume level OK for small unit. Quality feel and well built., 28 Aug. 2014

Great sound if slightly over bassy, volume level OK for small unit. Quality feel and well built.

Slightly confusing and annoying that you have to press a sliding switch, under a flap, to toggle between mains and battery power, that should happen automatically according to whether the mains is plugged in or not.

4.0 out of 5 stars Exceeded expectations for a Dell machine, 4 Jan. 2014
I bought this solely to play my music into a DAC as the key part of my hi-fi set-up. So now I have this tablet, an amp, a DAC and two speakers with all my music ripped from my CD's on a server on a network to which this tablet is connected.

It was great fun boxing and storing away all my CD's, they took up so much space.

Windows 8 (or the 8.1 I immediately upgraded to for free) is perfect for the job. Windows 8 is much maligned but once you have accustomed yourself to it is excellent and for my purposes it is perfect. No keyboard or mouse to worry about the touch screen works perfectly and there are some great music player apps of which MediaMonkey is the best.

It takes a few seconds to boot up, load the app and all my music is instantly unavailable in an organised, searchable format. I ripped all my CD's in wave format so all the music is "CD quality".

Want to listen to the radio? Just start up an app and thousands of worldwide radio stations available in an instant. Maybe I want to look up details of the artist on Wikipedia - just use the Wikipedia app.

As far as the quality of the hardware is concerned, I'm very pleased with it. It feels solid and durable, the screen is bright and responsive for touch and it's plenty fast enough even with an Atom processor.

I purchased this particular tablet because of it's excellent Docking Station (purchased separately) which is heavy and stable and enables the tablet to be positioned upright, has an Ethernet socket to connect to a wired network and a USB connection to connect to my DAC.

You do need to visit the Dell web site though to update some of the software, particularly the auto rotate software to ensure that the screen rotates correctly according to whether the tablet is viewed in portrait or landscape mode.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good phone but needs improvements, 19 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The key reason I purchased this phone is it's capability to reduce signal output according to distance from the base station. This should help avoid brain-frying and consequent headaches from using cheaper DECT phones for longer calls.

Secondly the ability to upload all my contacts from Outlook which means all my numbers (200+) were in the handset and copied to the other handset in a matter of minutes.

The overall quality of the hardware is definitely a significant step above cheaper DECT phones and has the feel and look of a nice but slightly out of date pre-smartphone mobile phone.

It more or less lived up to my expectations and I am happy with the purchase.

My gripes which prevented me giving 5 stars are:

1. Contacts are stored as surname, firstname and searching does not filter on names containing the search characters but beginning with them. So you have to search on surname. Then if you have a long surname and several family members in the contact list the results set just shows a list of identical surnames which you then have to click to view individually to see which person it is.

2. The frame is fractionally too large for the internals so the handset has a slightly rattly feel to it which I had to fix by placing a small amount of Blu-Tack inside the case. Not what you'd expect for equipment of this price and supposed quality.

3. The speaker has good sound clarity but is not overly loud. So if the phone is in another room and you have the TV or radio on, it is difficult to hear it ringing and you could easily miss a call.

5.0 out of 5 stars Not an Illusionist, 16 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I heard somebody describe Stephen Frayne the other day as an illusionist. He is no illusionist he is much more than that.

I don't know how conscious he is himself about what he is doing but basically he is showing us that we should not accept the self-imposed limitations of our conditioning. All of us are capable of transcending those limitations if we are able to open our minds and rise above our cultural conditioning.

This guy can manipulate dense matter by mind energy and chi (or however you want to describe it) alone.

He's not presenting himself as some kind of spiritual guru, he is clever enough to call himself a (mere) "magician" and by doing that he has succeeded in creating a platform to give his message to the masses, particularly young people who would be turned off by any spiritual message.

He is the most remarkable person ever seen on the mass media - either get the DVD or watch his TV show. Absolutely amazing - and absolutely important.

2.0 out of 5 stars Difficult to use, 1 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This tent comes in a small zipped bag. When removed from the package it springs open so there is no chance of understanding how it was folded to get it into the packet in the first place.

It does not come with any instructions so it is impossible (for me anyway) to fold it correctly to put it back in it's bag.

Very poor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Stunning talent, 27 April 2011
This review is from: 19 (Audio CD)
This is a glorious set of songs, performed by the most talented individual working in British pop music today.

It's so good, she makes the performances seem effortless. Great songs sung with a beautiful yet powerful voice and with a depth of feeling and emotion which belies her years.

Amazing album.

2.0 out of 5 stars Awful production, 4 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Bright Lights (Audio CD)
Good voice, good songs, but absolutely awful production. Every song sounds like a mess of muffled sounds with zero clarity.

Such a shame and undeserved of such a good up and coming young artist.

Record company needs to get its act together. Not everybody listens to music on highly compressed file formats where good production doesn't matter so much.
