Bought for Snowboarding - Be careful with sizing, 22 Feb. 2014
I'm 34.5 waist and the large size is a little stretched. You could go a size extra with these.
I haven't been on the snow yet with these but first impressions is that the thigh protector is an over kill and I'm tempted to undo the stitching and remove this part. Most freeride snowboarders would not require this level of protection on the thighs. It may be more useful in the park if you come down hard on a rail I'm sure it would save you a dead leg. The ass protection is more important to me and the they seem to provide a good level of protection with a hard plastic protector to cover the coccyx area.
Overall they seem pretty decent quality but cant help feeling that I should have bought the Burton Impact shorts which are cheaper and probably more fit for purpose.
