1.0 out of 5 stars rubbish printer to set up, 6 Jan. 2015
Tried setting up with 3 computers, software is rubbish. With Dell laptop the CD didn't work, had to eject to get to move to next step, then when finally loaded software the link up with printer didn't work. imac with 10.9 - the software provided isn't compatible so can't link to the printer. Old Macbook didn't like CD at all, downloading drivers doesn't allow you to link printer - you need CD. After 3 hours managed to downlaod correct scanner software for imac, linked printer, then discovered that it isn't airport compatible. What a waste of time. Going straight back for refund.

3.0 out of 5 stars I'm astonished that this has a 5 Star average rating, 31 July 2014

It is a good book but not great, I came to this through other 4.5 star books I have recently enjoyed but this doesn't live up to it. Ultimately is there a message? Maybe its a cult thing? Also don't read on the tube if you are prone to morning glory, some scenes are quite racy.

Oliver Stone's Untold History of the United States [DVD]
Dvd ~ Oliver Stone
Price: £10.80

5.0 out of 5 stars one of the best series I have watched, 6 Jun. 2014

Interesting, educational and well structured. A fascinating insight into how the modern world has been shaped. the only draw back is having to listen to Oliver Stone's narration for 10 episodes. A must watch for anyone who wants a greater understanding of American Imperialism.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping sci-fi, 6 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I read this off the back of an article in the Guardian saying that we should boycott the film for the author's homophobic views, but how that was a pity as the underlying story could be that of gays in America in the 80's (or to that affect). I found the writing and plot gripping and found myself reading to the end of chapters, rather than just stopping where I was. The last 100 pages went by in a blur and it left a hole to be filled once completed.

3.0 out of 5 stars mixed feelings, 6 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I may be unfair giving this only 3 stars, but for me the style and the story being told through the teenagers voice didn't quite gel. Whilst the characters are well structured and the underlying theme is well laid out and interesting, it is all a bit too quirky for me.

4.0 out of 5 stars not quite as good as the first, 6 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
If you enjoyed the first it is worth reading, but not quite as fresh and sharp. I do enjoy his style and the way he mixes thought with the real interaction. It can be pretty lurid in places.

5.0 out of 5 stars Interesting concept in an enjoyable romp, 6 Jun. 2014
This review is from: The Humans (Paperback)
This is a well written, enjoyable and thought provoking story. I have recently been getting recommendations through Amazon based upon what other people have read after enjoying An Average American Male and this followed Syrup and Second coming - both great works of fiction too.

I was looking for books by people who liked the Average American Male and was steered onto this. What an enjoyable read and fun romp through marketing with great characters, situations and plot.

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome, 26 Mar. 2014

This review is from: The Second Coming (Paperback)
One of the most enjoyable and thought provoking books I have ever read. I laughed and cried during it - the former loudly - both in public whilst commuting. One of the easiest to read, philosophically deep books I have had the pleasure to come across, if only there were more people out there being nice; it certainly conforms with my understanding of what it means to be a Christian. One day I hope the author gets a welcome party like the finale - he deserves it for this.
