3.0 out of 5 stars Good product....shame about the software, 11 April 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The cam works well enough out of the box. I have main atop my PC screen and despite Logitechs best efforts to make it adjustable to all, I stiil need Blu-tac to make it fit. The camera is of reasonably good quality but the mic could be better for example it is not as good as a headset even a very average one for skyping but it is easily good enough to be heard and understood and very convenient if you dislike using headsets. The biggest let-down was the lack of software for such a high-end webcam. I suggest you take a look at the Logitech site before purchasing as they seem to have withdrawn a lot of the add-ons which were originally available for this cam.

As usual, I blame Windows 8 for this, as Microsoft appears to have forced everyone else to abandon Windows 7 when they did. And guess what.......Windows 8 does not appear compatible with the older add-on software we used to get. So not only do Logitech get rid of effects etc for W8 users (and who can blame them) but for W7 users also. (!!!!!!!)

4.0 out of 5 stars Good but expensive, 20 Dec. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Pros:
Looks good.
Sounds good.
Mostly great build quality.
Great reception.
Very easy to setup and use.
Two alarms.
Sleep timer.
Plays MP3s.
Good connectivity with one USB input connection, and one 3.6mm input. It also has a 3.6mm output and a 3.6m headphone jack.
Versatile. It comes with a mains adapter but will also run on 4 d cell batteries.

Cons:
Two main control knobs a bit cheap.
Controls do not light up although screen does.
Only 10 presets for DAB, 10 presets for FM and 10 presets for internet radio.
You have to be quick to set the alarms.

I have not had this long but so far this has been a great radio and I would buy again....but expensive.

5.0 out of 5 stars Long term test, 4 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Had this mouse over 6 months. Hard to fault. Nice and small. Great surface. Thin but tough. Possibly the only complaint could be it picks up food stains easily but otherwise highly recommended.

There are comments about this mat not lying flat. When you get the mat it comes rolled up. This leads to the edges being slightly curled when first used. This completely disappears after a week or so of use......or you can just reverse roll the mat as it is so flexible.

My mat is totally flat and I personally like the thin flexible nature although some are perceiving it as poor quality. I can confirm that after hammering it over 6 months the surface has not deteriorated (as often does) and the edges (which at first may seem a little rough and prone to fraying) are the same now as the day I bought it.

Mad Catz V.5 Keyboard - UK (PC DVD)
Mad Catz V.5 Keyboard - UK (PC DVD)

4.0 out of 5 stars Long term test, 4 Oct. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I have had this keyboard for over 6 months. No problems whatsoever. If you are looking for a not too large backlit keyboard then this should fit the bill. Two levels of brightness plus off altogether. No choice as to the back light colour which is a red but on full brightness it is easy enough to read the keyboard. For some reason the only keys not lit by the backlight are the volume and backlight controls themselves - weird! Keyboard is USB and works fine with W7 64 bit.

3.0 out of 5 stars 6 month long term test - good mouse with serious flaws, 2 Oct. 2012
I purchased a mini steelseries mat to accompany this mouse and have not sufffered any tracking issues at all. The additional software is easy to install and use which together with the various physical adjustments that can be made make this a very adaptable mouse. I suffer from hand cramp very easily but have had no problems moving to this mouse once I had taken the time to adapt it properly. So why only three stars? There are some serious design flaws.

a) The battery life is so poor that you get two. One charges whilst you use the other. No problem you may think, but I have to change batteries every day (not as easy a process as it could be) and for a gamer this could come at a critical time.
b) The mouse takes an annoying few seconds to wake up after not being used for a while this is particularly annoying as this sleep mode does not appear to prolong the life of the battery!
c) Very expensive.

On the plus side:
a) Mouse can be adapted to fit most hands comfortably although the thumb buttons are a stretch to reach. The pinky rest (which is a user choice) is a great feature!!
b) It is very accurate and can be made more accurate if you install the software.
c) All the buttons and particularly the wheel have a good positive feel.
d) It connects via a single USB and has no need for a separate power supply.

All in all a mixed bag. If some improvements are made - particularly to battery life I would consider buying again but otherwise I would be looking elsewhere.

One of the best if not the best album released from the CSNY stable. It's worth buying just for the acoustic guitar on Black Queen alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great little lamp, 5 Aug. 2009
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Here is what you need to know.
1)Provided you place it carefully (I have mine attached to a shelf overlooking my shoulder when sitting at my reading chair and desk) it is more than bright enough to read by and far more comfortable on the eyes than a normal light.
2)It gives off little heat.
3)It has a push button on/off switch on the underside of the lightshade.
4)The cable on it looks about 2 metres long.
5)The clamp and lightshade are made from cheap but sufficiently strong plastic joined together by a flexible metal tube of good quality.
6)The flexibility ot the metal tube together with the lightshade being able to rotate about 150 degrees means it can be positioned to direct light just about anywhere.
7)I did not receive a spare bulb as mentioned in previous review.

To sum up this 9w lamp has replaced (for reading purposes only) two 10w flourescent lamps and although not as bright overall, it is much more comfortable on the eye and allows me to read a lot longer.

If you want something to work by also I would recommend possibly going for a 15w version. This one however is perfect for me. Highly recommended.
