5.0 out of 5 stars Long lasting charge, 8 Aug. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to use at a 5 day festival to charge my iPhone and a PayPal machine. I'm still using it a week later off and on without ever having recharged the Ravpower. So far I'm really impressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars You will never look at a crab fisherman the same way again, 13 July 2016
This review is from: Pot Luck (Paperback)
A month on and I am still chuckling to myself thinking about the various scenes in this book. Before now, Weymouth meant to us a sandy beach, sailing and fish and chips in amongst the crumbling but beautiful old buildings: now it's all about crab fisherman doing what they shouldn't. The first chunk of the book was pretty heavy on the crab fishing detail (we are all demi experts now) but then the various lives of the colourful characters start to unravel and it becomes unputdownable. I don't imagine I am considered the target audience (female in her forties, never been fishing) but I found it gripping and really funny laugh-out-loud stuff. I have recommended it to my all-female 40 something book club to read as I think they will love it too. Plus the potty mouthed author weaves an allotment scene into it and what's not to love about an allotment? Highly recommended for all ages, well, maybe not all ages, but late teens onwards. I bought it as a present for my 70 year old father in law too. For the maritime and drama stuff, not the smutty bits.....

5.0 out of 5 stars You can turn around inside it, 15 May 2011
I would agree with all the previous reviews. It is good for tall people given its length and the wider foot area means you can turn around inside it at night and it stays in place, unlike with the mummy style where you turn into a worm. I am about to buy another one for my partner who is 6'4" as it is a good size for him.

I have just camped in it in Devon in May on a stormy night and was very warm, didn't even need thermals on. I suspect in summer it will be a bit hot but I will just unzip it.

As others have said, it is a big size when it packs down so I would never hike with it nor recommend it if boot space is a big issue for you. The colour is a darker blue and a sludgy marroon rather than the red in the picture.

The fact I am about to purchase another is a good sign... I am giving it 5 stars despite the big pack down size because I knew about the large size thanks to all the other Amazon reviews. I think it is excellent value for money.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gripping viewing for toddlers, 8 Jan. 2008
This review is from: A Trip To The Seaside [DVD] (DVD)
This short film is my three year old daughter's favourite - the one she repeatedly asks to see again. An extended family jump in the car and go to a windy and overcast Clacton on Sea for the day - despite the bad weather they are filmed bravely sporting summer clothes and putting on suntan lotion. The family do what a lot of British families do on holiday: run around the beach, bury uncle Ted in sand, have a fry up lunch, go to the pier and funfair, watch Punch and Judy and so on. Toddlers loves watching them enjoying rides and candy floss and having fun - adults enjoy the cheesiness of it all and watching the family brave the elements. All is all a sweet little film.
