2.0 out of 5 stars Mainly geared towards formula feeding, 20 Feb. 2008
There are both good and bad aspects to this book, but I feel very strongly that anyone interested in breastfeeding their baby should not buy this book or should ignore this section completely - I found much of the information and advice to be out of date, inaccurate and potentially disruptive to establishing breastfeeding - which could cause many women to give up. For example, suggesting that a hungry baby should be walked instead of fed if it wakes for its feed 'early' may work for formula fed babies but simply will not work if you want to breastfeed longer than a few weeks - growth spurts will cause a baby to be more hungry and babies having a growth spurt need to feed more often to increase 'supply', limiting feeding will have a negative impact on 'supply and demand' but this book ignores this, and acts as if the babies referred to are formula fed.

I would recommend 'The Womanly Art of Breastfeeding' published by La Leche League International if you want to breastfeed your baby

2.0 out of 5 stars Too basic for my liking, 18 Jan. 2004
This book really didn't contain enough information about where to eat, how much things cost (like carriage rides etc), places to stay, in fact most of the things that Rough Guides and Lonely Planet seem to cover as a matter of course. Also, the book isn't entirely about Bruges as promised, it also had information about Ghent.
This book's only redeeming feature was that it had a lot of info on suggested walks around the city, the history of the city, and what to look at whilst in Bruges, so if that is all you are interested in then this is probably the book for you; but if you want to know which restaurants to avoid, where you can get cheap coffee during the day, the best waffles to eat as you wander around and really feel like you're getting to know the city, buy a different book.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not worse or better, just darker, 1 Oct. 2002
I did and didn't enjoy season 3 as much as 1 and 2, simply because I found season 3 too dark and maudlin for my taste. Wesley's gradual alienation, Angel's heartache and Cordelia's trancendence, coupled with some bumbling around by Wolfram and Hart (less believable and more ridiculous as time goes on) left me feeling like I needed to see something lighthearted to cheer me up!
However, it was these dark elements that drew me back to see more episodes, as I was desperate to see some decent writing and a good plot to resolve some of the issues left hanging. The actors are obviously talented, but Fred can't always be stereotyped as absent-minded boffin, and Gunn definitely needs some fleshing out; if they leave these two characters as they are, there will be very little foundation for a fourth season.
