It's a step-up ring. It steps up!

4.0 out of 5 stars Recommended for the Panasonic HC-x920, 2 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I use this with the Panasonic HC-x920 and it gives excellent results, with no vignetting whatsoever. There is the occasional hint of chromatic abberation around the edges under certain lighting conditions, but it is so minor as to be negligible. I sometimes combine this lens with a polarizer or ND filter with no problems. The outer thread is 77mm, so you can put a wide-angle lens hood on there as well. While it seems expensive for what it is, this is half the price of the official Panasonic wide-angle lens. It comes with lens caps for both ends and a little drawstring bag which also functions as a dust cloth. Pleased with this buy.

4.0 out of 5 stars A decent, low-cost tripod bag, 2 May 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to carry a Manfrotto carbon fiber tripod, which it's fine for (although the video head I use is too large to fit). The shoulder strap and carrying handles seem strong enough, although I suspect you may have to replace it after a few years of heavy use. However, for around a tenner, I find this a better alternative to the expensive official Manfrotto cases. The case is only lightly padded, but it's simple enough to roll a few towels around the tripod to better protect it and make it more comfortable to carry.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great quality - if you can afford it, 28 April 2016

Combined with Epson papers, the print quality is the best you're going to get, but it's all too expensive for my liking. Fortunately I've found lower-cost alternatives. If you're a pro photographer requiring high-quality printouts, go for it, but I prefer to go with slightly lower print quality for a lot less money.

4.0 out of 5 stars Works great, but turn off shot-stabilization, 28 April 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Nice little lens hood. Seems solid enough. I bought the 77mm version to attach to a Digital King DSW Pro wide-angle lens. One word of caution though - if you are using it on a camera with a shot-stabilization feature, it can appear in the shot during rapid movement. Mount your camera on a good tripod, with shot-stabilization turned off and you should have no problem. Not sure whether it might appear in an ultra-wide angle lens, however.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good value, 28 Mar. 2013

I got this to connect my PS3 to a monitor. It provides a nice, strong connection which works great, and at 4 quid, was a far better deal than the ridiculous £14 demanded by Game.

4.0 out of 5 stars PS3 compatible - works great, 28 Mar. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I got this as a drive upgrade for my PS3 Slim. I went for this over the older Samsung HN-M101MBB that's been around for a while now. No problems with installation, although you do need to know what you're doing. Having hundreds of gigabytes of storage is a massive improvement over my old 120Gb. Transfer rate is decent enough and there have been no problems with overheating. However, be aware, you don't get the full storage capacity to play with. While this is a 1TB drive, the useable space is actually around 880Gb (the rest is taken up by the PS3's system data and other stuff). Even so, if you're an avid PS3 gamer, upgrading to a drive this size is one of the best purchases out there.

1.0 out of 5 stars I wish I hadn't bothered, 3 Dec. 2011

I hate to say it, but the Kindle does not appear to be a reliable piece of hardware. I had one of the first 3G units in the UK. After eight months of well-cared for use, it developed a fault in the directional pad, whereby the up movement stopped working. The support technician was puzzled by this, since he thought it more likely that the entire d-pad would have failed. One under-warranty replacement later, all was well for a further four months. And now, this one has fallen foul of the locking-up error, which began happening for no obvious reason. When locked up, none of the controls function, not even the power switch (which is very flimsy). Sometimes it works for a few minutes, then promptly locks up again. When connected to a computer with the USB lead, even when it is unplugged, the device screen still shows itself as connected. There also seems to be a problem with the battery and charging process. An upgraded operating system, hard reset and even restoring to factory defaults fixes absolutely nothing. I suspect the replacement unit I was sent is not new, but a reconditioned unit. Since it's now out of warranty, I'm left with a useless device.

In the many years I've been shopping from Amazon, this is without question the most disappointing purchase I have ever made from them. The electronics in the Kindle are not reliable and the hardware is too fragile. £150 down the drain. I will never buy another Amazon-branded product.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ideal for older games and emulators, 16 July 2011
This is a good, basic game controller. No frills - no rumble, no analog stick, no autofire/turbo etc. I got it to play MAME and other emulators, with which it works very well, although I do rather regret the lack of an autofire in some of those old arcade shooters!

4.0 out of 5 stars Does the job, 16 July 2011
A decent enough cable. I got this to connect a Sony video camera to a Mac for use with iMovie. No problems at all. Was pleasantly surprised to find it also works as a controller connector/charge cable for the Playstation 3.
