Silver Buckthorn Hand Wash 5 Litre
Silver Buckthorn Hand Wash 5 Litre

Price: £32.01

3.0 out of 5 stars Great soap, but disappointing pump., 24 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Soap is great, as expected, but the supplied pump was terrible - slow to reset, adds loads of bubbles and air to the dispense, and drips for ages after closing it in place.

4.0 out of 5 stars Good product, useful, neat, but with too short a cable., 24 May 2017
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is generally speaking a good product, and was most definitely worth purchasing for me, with one caveat - the length of the included cable.

The dock itself is simple, perhaps a little on the light side, but seems moderately sturdy for the relatively low cost. Getting the 3DSXL in to position isn't guided in any way, but this is as much a flaw in the 3DSXL as the dock; just means that you have to pay attention to get it in the right place when you put it down.

The issue I have with this is the length of the cable. It's a metre from plug to plug, which just isn't long enough for my use case at least. It has a 3DSXL connector on the end, so you can use it directly in to the 3DSXL if you need to for some reason, which was unexpected (I'd thought it would probably be micro USB or something to the dock) and a great feature if you need an additional cable in a pinch, but I have this dock on my desk (I suspect others might have it on their bedside table, for example where the same would apply for me at least) and so 1m of cable just isn't enough to get from a place on my desk to the nearest power socket to plug in my USB charger.

So, overall, good product, but check how long a cable you'll need to use it. If that's a metre or more, you need to factor in an extension lead, or a longer USB to 3DSXL plug cable to use with the dock (and perhaps use the one included with this item for when you're travelling).

Double Compartment Carry Case For PS Vita
Double Compartment Carry Case For PS Vita

2.0 out of 5 stars Not as shown in the images in the listing, and really smells of some chemical or other., 7 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This product would be ok if it wasn't for the terrible smell. Incredibly strong chemical smell (I can't identify it, but it's just nasty and I've left it for days to try to let it subside). Aside from that it's actually a decent product for the cost. It's a little flimsy perhaps, but would do the job, if I could stand the smell.

Note that it doesn't quite match the images in the product listing; there is only one large mesh pouch and there are more Vita card slot holders (10 rather than the 8 shown). Not the end of the world, and may work out better for you if you have more game cards but I'd have preferred the separate mesh pockets to avoid tangled cables. See my photo for what mine looks like.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really excellent protector set, with the one drawback., 7 Mar. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is probably the best screen protector kit that I've purchased, and over the years I've purchased many for phones, cameras, satnavs and so on.

My PS Vita was relatively new, but I'd been using it for a week or so before deciding to get a screen protector so it wasn't perfectly clean or oil free. The kit includes two small "professional" screen cleaning wipes - one very slightly moistened and one dry and this combination (wet then dry) did the best job I've seen at preparing the display screen for the protector; I had no dust left on the screen and the protector installed easily without flaws. I didn't need to use the (also included) dust speck sticker to remove any last problems before installing.

I also set the cleaning wipes aside and after I'd finished the display protector, used them on the back to clean that off too, and there was enough to give that a good clean to get rid of all the grease from my hands. The back protector film (not glass) and fits slightly less well partly because of the shape it needs to be and partly because it's in two pieces, so it's fiddly.

The drawback: The screen on my Vita is now less sensitive to touch. I hope that it'll just take me adjusting my press force to cope with it because otherwise this kit is great.

1.0 out of 5 stars No cut-out for the front facing camera., 23 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
No hole for the front facing camera. The rest is correct - a notch for the home button and one for the sensor, and a hole for the speaker.

Of course, this means that the front camera is taking pictures / video through an extra layer of plastic, and they're not as sharp as they would otherwise have been.

Asrock FATZ97X Killer/3.1 Fatal1ty Z97X Motherboard (Intel Z97 1150, ATX SLI/Xfire, USB 3.1, SATA Express, M.2 RAID)

2.0 out of 5 stars Very poor storage throughput, especially in RAID modes., 23 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Board looks good, and was easy to mount, pretty sturdy, with all the bangs and whistles that you could want. Unfortunately, the storage performance is very low. Even using the storage driver and tweaking everything for speed (sacrificing data security in the process) it's still substantially slower than it should be, and the technical support agents at ASRock don't seem to be able to solve the issue, so I can only assume it's by design and I can only suggest that you look elsewhere if you want decent performance especially on storage.

4.0 out of 5 stars Reasonable for the price with a couple of caveats., 23 Nov. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a large screen for 1080p resolution on a monitor as you obviously sit much closer than you would a TV, and so inevitably the picture doesn't seem as sharp as a smaller display. However, this is only to be expected and so long as you're not right on top of it, it's a good balance for the price. It's a little annoying to switch between inputs (touch controls on the bottom to get in to the menu, and chose a different input and "OK" it; not a simple input selector) and that's the most annoying thing I find as I use with two inputs. If you want to connect just the one device to the screen and don't mind the lack of height adjustment and want a bigger display, you shouldn't go wrong with this.

Doxie Go - Rechargeable A4 Mobile Document Scanner
Doxie Go - Rechargeable A4 Mobile Document Scanner

5.0 out of 5 stars A neat solution to the problem we all have., 26 Aug. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Most all of us get a ton of paperwork; bills, statements, payslips, insurance docs, receipts to mention a few. We know that we should actually keep a hold of them in case we need to return something under warranty, query something in the future, refer back to the payslips, or just need to keep track, but it all mounts up - files full of paperwork most all of which is now out of date meaning that when we do need to find something it's a huge trial to get what we need.

This is a neat little answer. It's a standalone, battery powered scanner. Simply switch on, and feed in the paperwork which it grabs and pulls through (paper as narrow as receipts are fine, as are A4/letter pages) scanning to internal memory and saving it there until you connect to your computer to move the scans off.

You can access it just like an external drive, but the bundled software is really where the solution shines and makes sense - the software connects to the scanner and imports the scans. It automatically corrects for skew and gives a little contrast boost which is useful for documents. You can tweak these settings if you like, and once you're done, can "staple" pages together into a document, and then export as PDF (or JPG, or PNG, or even a PDF with the text having been "read" by optical character recognition and embedded in to the PDF).

It all works seamlessly as you would want it to - by default, as you import to the software, scans are removed from the scanner memory, and as you export from the Doxie software to PDF, they are removed from the software. The scanner charges fine from your PCs USB port, and you can get an optional mains adaptor if you want.

Of course, you could always do something similar with your printer's built in scanner, an imaging program like Paint or Photoshop, and a PDF writer like Acrobat Professional, but realistically, that is extremely laborious and time consuming compared to the Doxie, and you're not likely to bother.

Over all, this is excellent.

Cable Mountain 1m HQ Gold Pins with Metal Case TOSlink Digital Optical Cable
Cable Mountain 1m HQ Gold Pins with Metal Case TOSlink Digital Optical Cable
Price: £3.95

5.0 out of 5 stars Works perfectly well, and attractively priced., 4 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Although this is obviously built to a price, it functions well, and really what more do you need from an optical cable? They work, or they don't, and this one does.

Amusing that they advertise it as having gold pins, as if they would make any difference, but the lack of understanding about how optical signals work on the part of the marketeer doesn't detract from the fact that the engineers who designed it obviously do have sufficient knowledge...

3.0 out of 5 stars Nice stick, but really rather slow., 4 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Nice to have a metal chassis on the stick - it feels sturdy, and I would feel quite comfortable keeping it on my key chain, as it's obviously intended. It's a tight fit in to many of the USB ports I've tried it with, whereas other devices are an easier fit, but I have not found a port I can't connect it to, just feels like I'm going to pull the port out with the stick some times...

This is a pretty slow memory stick by todays standards even allowing for the fact its USB 2. If speed is any consideration to you (it'll take hours to fill this stick with pictures for example) then you should look elsewhere, but if you want a reasonably priced and moderately rugged but still small and pretty stylish drive, and don't care about the speed then this could serve you well.
