4.0 out of 5 stars Enjoyable read, 17 Nov. 2014

I really enjoyed reading this trilogy again. There are a few glitches in the grammar in the kindle version but nothing that will stop you from enjoying. Lots of humour in the books and easy reading. The Tamuli trilogy is entertaining, funny, exciting and I would recommend to anyone who enjoys fantasy fiction.

1.0 out of 5 stars Boring, 14 Dec. 2013
The most boring film I have ever watched.
Don't waste your time with this rubbish.
The main character did not gain my sympathy or interest.
Poor Rachael Weiss must regret appearing in this.
Watch the weather forecast instead, far more engaging.

4.0 out of 5 stars A good souvenir of a good exhibition, dedicated to a great artist, 20 Aug. 2009
I bought this book (paperback version) after viewing the exhibition of J.W. Waterhouse paintings at the Royal Academy in London. I think the book is really good, it shows plates of all the paintings in the exhibition and also some that were not in the exhibition. The quality of the plates seems fine to me, while the enlarged pictures show the true quality of the paintings as they are now, after all they are over a hundred years old. Looking closely at the original paintings in the exhibtion you can see the cracks in the oil, etc. (maybe some restoration work needed?) If you are interested in Waterhouse's works of art, then this is a good book to purchase. Better still, go see the exhibition as well, if you can.
Yes the book is expensive, that is why I only give it 4 stars, but cost of book is a lot less than one of the original paintings would cost!
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes the paintings of J.W. Waterhouse.

5.0 out of 5 stars Bargain Bond, 30 July 2009
If you like Bond, what are you waiting for? At this price for so many films you'll be dreaming about Bond before you finish watching them all.
I like Bond and do not class myself as a Bond fan like many others, but I did enjoy watching all the films over several months. The early films are classic, the seventies & eighties films...enjoyable and almost comedy, the nineties films...action packed, the most recent films....dark and reinvigorated.
So if you want hours and hours of film entertainment, buy this.
If you know a Bond fan, this would make a much appreciated gift.

5.0 out of 5 stars Really entertaining film, 30 July 2009
This review is from: The Bank Job [DVD] (DVD)
I really enjoyed this film, Jason Statham is well cast in the lead role. Classic tale of petty criminals going for the big job that allows them to retire to costa del crime! The historical side to the film adds to the entertainment. Brilliant acting by David Suchet too as the underworld boss.
If you want a night in front of the TV watching a good film, you couldn't do better than pick this film. Enjoy!

4.0 out of 5 stars A concise biography, 19 July 2009
A good account of Churchill's life, my only concern was that some events were only given a brief account, but as the author states there are so many other sources to look through if you want details of events. This biography had to be concise and succinct to remain in one volume. If the reader wants details then the book lists other books to refer to. All in all an enjoyable read with some surprises for me, I thought I knew a lot about Churchill but found I knew very little at all.
