Good Connectivity, 20 Sept. 2012
Arrived earlier than scheduled :-). Got this mainly for using with the Ipad 2, which it connected to with no problems. As a bonus it also connects with Google Nexus 7 and Samsung Galaxy S3 (on Android Jellybean). Just switch on keyboard then search Bluetooth Devices on your device, type in code your device gives you on to the keyboard, press return and it connects.
Build quality on the keyboard is good imho, it feels like a quality product, strong and sturdy, if perhaps slightly heavier than I thought it would be. It uses 2 AAA batteries ( 2 Duracell ones are included so you can start typing right away without fiddling about looking for some to start with. Too early to comment on battery life as yet so only time will tell, a couple of rechargeable ones should sort out any issues there if they arise. I will leave the subject of key layout to people who know more about this suffice to say that the key on top left acts as a home key on my Androids and I was able to move about my apps using some of the other keys.
Also included is the cover for the keyboard which doubles as a stand for your Ipad/device. Seems up to the job although the clip is plastc so a bit of care may be needed when using it.
I am pleased with this purchase so far and glad I decided to pay a bit extra for it rather than going for some of the cheaper ones on offer. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a keyboard for their mobile device.
