5.0 out of 5 stars Among the best budget monitors out there, 26 Aug. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Be reminded your paying £100 for a 24'' monitor. That's peanuts for a monitor this size.

As usual a review is in relation to the cost. You can't compare it with a high spec monitor, for which you would pay 5 times more.
The monitor quality is really good and resolution is a good 1920x1080 which is what you would want for a 24''.

The only cons would be the stand which is flimsy and will not hold the monitor completely level but you will barely notice it anyway. Otherwise you cannot go wrong with this budget piece of kit.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not suitable for Nexus 7, 5 Sept. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This sleeve looks nice but it is not suitable for a Nexus 7. Does that Nexus fit? YES. Does the Nexus actually swim in it? YES. The sleeve is too large for the Nexus. There's no point to have a small tablet if you then have to carry a huge sleeve where your tablet actually swims in. Now returning it back to Amazon.

Super Snack Sweet Popcorn 3 x 85 g (Pack of 8, Total 24 Bags)
Super Snack Sweet Popcorn 3 x 85 g (Pack of 8, Total 24 Bags)

3.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing, not nearly as sweet as they should be, 11 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
What I love about cinema popcorn is that they're sweet and they tend to get this subtle caramelized layer over them. Nothing like these. They needed to be sweeter, waaaaaaaaaaaaay sweeter. In the end 2mins is fine in my 800w microwave but you can barely notice they're sweet, so what's the point?

3.0 out of 5 stars They're ok but not very salty, 11 Feb. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
These popcorns are the first I have tried for the microwave and they are ok. 2mins is enough on my 800W microwave. However, they are not really that salty. They're just ok.

Still prefer the salty popcorns from the cinema. They tend to be saltier.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Power Supply, 27 Mar. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I bought this to replace a lost power supply on one of my mini-itx servers. mini-itx.com shop wanted to charge me 30pounds for a replacement.
This however does the job as well or better than the original one. Great, great cable at an awesome price.

3.0 out of 5 stars Flimsy product, 9 Jan. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When you buy a safe you expect something durable, resistant and strong. However this safe feels very flimsy. The dial is made of plastic and doesn't feel tightened at all. It's flimsy and shakes a lot. Generally the safe looks good but it's not what I expected. I would suggest that if you really want a secure, strong safe you try to find something else.

In Car Charger - Tomtom USB Car Charger
In Car Charger - Tomtom USB Car Charger

1.0 out of 5 stars Not from TOMTOM but instead a _cheap_ compatible version, 22 Aug. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Note that the charger you will receive is not as shown in the image, is _not_ official TOMTOM product and is not of quality.

It's a cheap, sub-standard, poorly developed and built version that will probably break within a week.

1.0 out of 5 stars What's the fun if the noise is more distracting than bubbles?, 26 May 2011
We have a 5m.o. who, I would think, would really enjoy some bubbles during bath time. However as soon as you turn it on you understand that it will never really work since the bubble maker turns your bathroom into a construction yard noise-wise. I don't know what the machine is doing inside but by the noise it makes it is definitely not something soothing like blowing bubbles.

Seriously, do NOT get this one. It is just a waste of money. Mine will be on eBay if you don't believe me and want to give it a try anyways.

2.0 out of 5 stars Very pool heater (read why...), 24 May 2010
Hi bought an easy set pool 10 foot for my garden. I live in Cambridge, England where temperature rounds 17 degrees in summer.

First and foremost, this heater works well if you have an inside pool.

However for an outside pool the problems accumulate. The plug cannot be used with an extension cord. The heater is not strong enough to heat a pool at low temperatures (it won't work with temperatures lower than 17 and it will struggle till 25). If you start with temperatures of 17, it will take ~4 hours to go up by 1 degree. Obviously leaving it on during the night won't work because the pool temperature will go down due to outside temperature (and it also says that you shouldn't leave the heater unsupervised meaning it is a useless piece of kit for my case).

It's too expensive for what it is in my opinion. It won't help you at all for a garden pool where the outside temperature is not hot at all. :(

Modern Compiler Implement in C
Modern Compiler Implement in C
by Andrew W. Appel
Edition: Paperback
Price: £47.49

3.0 out of 5 stars Read the ML version, 21 Feb. 2010
This book was originally written in ML: "modern compiler implementation in ML". It was then translated into Java and C. I have the C and ML version and the ML version noticeable better. The text is the same but the code was created for ML. The translation from ML to C is so cryptic (badly performed with severe problems of indentation, etc) that it makes the C version extremely hard to read. I advise the ML version, even if you don't know ML. The subset of the ML programming language used in the book is _very_ simple to read. Get the ML version no matter what, otherwise you will regret it once you see the C snippets on this version! You are warned!
