4.0 out of 5 stars A good story, 29 April 2015

I enjoyed this book although I did feel that there were parts of it that needlessly repeated information the reader had already been given.

Tying together a number of key characters from the post TOS era in an interesting story of discovery and adventure. I love the depth of the characters and the detailed back stories that build on what we already know of our heroes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very enjoyable, 28 Dec. 2013
This book ratchets up the tension that has been developing throughout the other novels in this series. Clandestine operations and confrontations between key characters leave you wanting more. There is also some continued character development in line with other Titan novels. I am greatly looking forward to the final book in The Fall.

4.0 out of 5 stars Another great story from David Mack, 7 Dec. 2013

A real master of Trek literature, Mack does it again with a riveting tale of self sacrifice. This is a great addition to The Fall.

4.0 out of 5 stars Emotional, 18 Oct. 2013

This book focuses on the rebirth of Deep Space Nine and a time for celebration but the key event that takes place left me shocked and with strange feeling of melancholy. Never has a fictional event like this had quite such an effect and that is a testimony to not only this author but to previous authors who have helped craft this character.

5.0 out of 5 stars Full of intrigue, 18 Oct. 2013

I really enjoyed this novel from start to finish. In fact it's fair to say I couldn't put it down. The events in the previous book heightened my interest in reading this one but it can be read as a standalone without you feeling as though you've missed key elements. If you're a fan of this genre then this is a must.

I enjoyed going back and researching the various characters who appear in this novel. The way they woven together with the plot makes for the beginning of an interesting new chapter in the Enterprise series. I look forward to further instalments.

4.0 out of 5 stars An interesting little tale, 8 Jun. 2013

A nice break from the current Typhon Pact story line. A true Star Trek story about a captain, his ship and his duty.
