5.0 out of 5 stars Adult and excellent, 28 Oct. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
No use to state the high quality of the product, as soon as everything Warner Bros creates with its DC characters is excellent on every side. This Batman adventure is a little different from other because 1) Batman is almost a supporting character for Suicide Squad; 2) contents and style are more adult-oriented and brutal than usual (no spoilers, but sex and violence levels are fun for adults, but avoid child watchers). Voices are the best of the best, as usual for Dc animation (Andrea Romano as boss).

3.0 out of 5 stars Expected something better, 10 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is the kind of product you often buy moved basically by nostalgia. With this premise, you don't expect to watch a hi-def or crystal clear audio movie, nor a sophisticated plotted series with lot of suspence and subtle characterization. Anyway, a good aspect I'd like to have: subtitles, at least in English language. Three stars, no more.

Hotwire: Requiem For The Dead
Hotwire: Requiem For The Dead
by Warren Ellis
Edition: Paperback

5.0 out of 5 stars A lil jewel, 8 Oct. 2010
As a Warren Ellis fanatic, I bought this comic just for his presence as writer, and, I have to say, his standard are the usual: a real genius in modern literature (even tough other works of his are even better)! The plus in this work is Pugh's astonishing graphic provess, which I was not aware of. The result is a real jewel of comic art you really have to read!

4.0 out of 5 stars GOOOOOD!, 8 Oct. 2010

A classic collection everyone have to put in his home! Subtitles (English) are present in "My name is Bruce" and "Bubba Ho-Tep". With subtitles in all the movies we could reach excellence, but nobody's perfect!

5.0 out of 5 stars The best animated series ever!, 18 Aug. 2010
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
I was never very fond of Dc Comics, always been a strong and uncompromising Marvel fan. "Was", because I changed my mind looking at Warner Bros animation of Dc heroes, especially Justice League. The previous series is very good, quite extraordinary... but "Unlimited" goes even further and better: every episode is fascinating, magnetic, rich in events, rhythm and psychological interaction. You can't live without seeing this, believe me!

1.0 out of 5 stars Why, Warren, why?!?!, 18 Aug. 2010
This review is from: Clockwork Angels (Paperback)
As a steely stainless fan of Warren Ellis's, I bought this book in the same moment I noticed him presented as "Author". That is true in a very very VERY marginal (and unsatisfactory) measure: he simply writes the introduction to this comic. As an addictional delusion, his review is (incredibly!) a strong eulogy for the artist, of whom Warren (tu quoque!) appreciates the courage, the graphic skill and the sensibility for feminine psychology. None of these traits justifies the reading (and even less the buying) of this comic: the drawing are quite awful (as if someone's trying to copy a manga style lacking the minimum skill required), the story goes here and there with no real reason and dialogues are verbose and superfluous, rich of ostentatious witticism. Ellis will keep on being my favorite writer, but his opinion, in this case, is absolutely wrong. Keep your money and your time.
