Bullshirt's Men's Origami Unicorn T-Shirt (3XL, Navy Blue)
Bullshirt's Men's Origami Unicorn T-Shirt (3XL, Navy Blue)

4.0 out of 5 stars Looks Good So Far..., 29 Sept. 2017

The XXXL fit is fine and the quality of the shirt itself, whilst not top end by any means, is perfectly acceptable from a £10 purchase. I've paid twice the price for similar quality elsewhere. The look of the Blade Runner origami unicorn design is fantastic but I'm slightly wary of the cheap-feeling, plasticky nature of the transfer. How many washes before that transfer cracks and peels? I've only just received the item so time will tell, but I'll happily add another star to my rating if it holds.

5.0 out of 5 stars Outstanding Slow-burn Horror: A Must-Have For Genre Fans, 29 Sept. 2017

This review is from: February (2015) (DVD)
THE FILM
Kat (Kiernan Shipka) is a freshman at a Catholic boarding school for girls in upstate New York. Rose (Lucy Boynton) is a senior at the same school. It's Winter Break and all the other girls have been picked up by their parents and taken home for the week. Rose's parents haven't arrived yet because she purposely told them the wrong break-up date, because she fears she may be pregnant and wanted to arrange one more clandestine meeting with her boyfriend to let him know before her parents took her home. Kat's parents... well, they just haven't shown up. Why? Kat had a vivid dream in which they'd been killed in a car crash en route to the school, and she's convinced that that's what's happened. Ridiculous fancy of course, but then again nobody seems to know where they are right now...

Meanwhile in another part of the state, a young woman called Joan (Emma Roberts, Eric Roberts' daughter) sits in a bus station. She seems uncertain as to what her next move will be. Waiting in the freezing snow for another bus, she's approached by a gentleman (James Remar) who takes pity on her and offers her a ride with him and his wife (Lauren Holly), who is considerably less amenable. Where are these folk headed? Well, they're headed to a Catholic boarding school for girls in upstate New York. But where is Joan going?

The Blackcoat's Daughter (aka February), directed by Oz Perkins (son of Anthony Perkins, the star of Alfred Hitchcock's Psycho) and featuring a wonderfully unsettling score written by his brother Elvis Perkins, is the finest horror movie I've seen this year, hands down. Now, it won't be for everybody; it fits squarely into the on-trend "post-horror" category, meaning that it's very slow-burn, largely gore-free, and entirely bereft of even one jump-scare. Use Robert Eggers' 2015 classic-in-waiting The Witch (to which The Blackcoat's Daughter would make a fine companion piece despite the vastly different time period settings) as your yardstick: If you thought The Witch was a dreary, artsy-fartsy snoozefest - and many did - you're very probably not going to like The Blackcoat's Daughter. But if The Witch, with its all-pervading sense of dread and dreamlike, off-kilter quality pushed all your buttons (as they did mine), The Blackcoat's Daughter is an absolute must-see.

THE PRODUCT
This Dutch release DVD of The Blackcoat's Daughter, going by its previous title of February, is completely bare-bones but in lieu of a proper release here in the UK, it does the job perfectly well. The original English soundtrack is the only audio available (in either 5.1 or 2.0 flavours), and the Dutch subtitles (the only subtitles available on the disc) are not hard coded and can be switched off. If I was to nitpick I'd say that the still shots on the rear of the case sleeve represent something of a spoiler as to the direction the movie will take, so my advice to anybody making this purchase without having previously seen the movie would be to avoid the back of the box, fish the disc out as quickly as possible and watch immediately.

Good quality Fruit of the Loom t-shirt with a good looking print which certainly looks hard-wearing (time will tell, I guess). Item arrived the day after I ordered it. Literally couldn't ask for more. Really pleased!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cheap, cheerful, and fun!, 7 Jun. 2017

These fun earrings arrived safely, on time and as advertised. The good people at The Funky Barcode even threw in a packet of Parma Violets for the joy of it! Anyway, they were just a silly, couple-of-quid throwaway gift for the wife, and she loves them! I doubt they'll last very long but for less than £4.00 they'll have more-than justified the outlay in a single outing. I'd definitely buy some more bits and pieces from this seller.

1.0 out of 5 stars Do NOT Purchase from Whirlpool!, 10 May 2017
The warranty they offer isn't worth the paper on which it's printed. The soap drawer on our Whirlpool machine has developed a significant leak after only four months. However, they do not answer their own repair line and they have roundly ignored us on every social media platform too. Of course, if wasting your phone bill for hours at a time to literally no avail sounds like fun to you, purchase away.

3.0 out of 5 stars Premium Entertainment in a Two-Bob Packet..., 12 Dec. 2016
As so many have already commented, this is a five-star set for its content - season 6 of Game of Thrones might be the show's best season thus far - but it's a big fat zero stars for the dreadful packaging. The outer packaging is held to the box proper by two little glue dots underneath the blue blu-ray banner at the top. These have to be unfastened to remove the box in order to remove the discs but this leaves the top part of the outer package flapping about uselessly. Also, the card from which the box is constructed feels very thin, and flimsy. Seems baffling to me that HBO lavishes such expense on its flagship show only to fudge it and go down the "PoundStretchers" route right at the final expenditure.

3.0 out of 5 stars Great Film, Average Blu-Ray, 19 July 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The film itself deserves five stars, it's a slow-release hand grenade of a movie, highly recommended. The picture quality on the BD is fine too. The product loses a star for no extras whatsoever (typical ignorance by Universal there), and it loses another because, in every shop I look, The Witch blu-ray comes in a slip-case, but not so my Amazon pre-order. Bit shoddy, that. Wish I'd bought it at Tesco.

Rowdy Roddy Piper Hot Rod Wrestling White Adult T-shirt Tee [Apparel]
Rowdy Roddy Piper Hot Rod Wrestling White Adult T-shirt Tee [Apparel]
Offered by TV Tees
Price: £13.95

3.0 out of 5 stars Comes Up Too Big, 19 Sept. 2015
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Somewhat bittersweet purchase, this, since when I ordered it, it was just a nice retro shirt (that was the intention) and Roddy Piper was still alive. By the time it arrived, he was dead. The first time I wore it outside it felt as though I was paying some sort of sombre tribute. Still, if I'd placed the order a week earlier it would've been a Hulkamania shirt and of course, he got caught up in that racism storm a few days later, so swings and roundabouts.

Anyway, the garment: I tend to veer between an XL and a XXL for t-shirts so I decided to play safe and go XXL, but unfortunately the shirt came up considerably larger than that. Closer to a 4XL, I reckon. That aside, it's nice quality so as long as you go a size lower than you normally would you'll get yourself a nice shirt.
