Macbeth The Graphic Novel: Original Text (Unabridged, British English)
by William Shakespeare
Edition: Paperback
Price: £7.41

5.0 out of 5 stars Macbeth - The Graphic Novel, 3 Jan. 2011
This is a ust have for all fans of comics. Told using the original ye Olde English text this visual way could help those of a more modern generation understand and enjoy the centuries old classic. Also available are two other version of the same comc at the same price which have Old English with written explanations of the old language; or a version which transliterates the old text into a more modern understanding for younger readers.

This tale is so well known it is now a modern classic which has reached all mediums now it has become a graphic novel.

I kow what you're thinking. They release the one DVD boxset per year and with only about four episodes on it.
If you can get over how disappointing that is, you're still getting Family Guy, the greatest cartoon of all time.

Serving the job the Simpsons did twenty years ago, the cartoons are more for adults although I know kids who love these.

Peter's Idiocy,Stewie and Brian's jaunts,Chris & Meg's ukiness and Lois' putting-up-with-it factor all go into one huge melting pot of wacky zanyness!

Featuring some of the entire show's best bits, Baby Not on Board which spoofs Home Alone is top. I Dream of Jesus is just brilliant as it is a blatant spoof of "Michael" and Lindsay Lohan's life. the Family Gay: episode features TV's greatest eleven-way gay joke and finally, the long awaited Juice is Loose episode which features the longest build-up joke in Family Guy's history.

Buy these just for the full on pirate chase in Long John Peter!

Giggity.

My Mum's favourite western starring The Duke, John Wayne.

With very good picture and sound this film from 55years ago stands up as a classic and it hasn't dated.
From its supporting cast member Jeffrey Hunter this film is a must have for all fans of classic cinema.

5.0 out of 5 stars Army of Darkness, 3 Jan. 2011
Possibly the most expensive Evil Dead movie and most entertaining, from a skeleton army point of view.
Winning a Saturn Award and a Golden Raven award prove the worth of this film.

Where film 1 was the first serious dark film and 2 was the funnier, scarier and most loved sequel, this film is the "balls to the walls" action piece of the trilogy.

On blu ray, this is a quality buy over the DVD versions. The picture is very crisp for a film not shot for Blu Ray, also the sound quality is amazing.

Be warned, this Blu Ray is the version with the American Ending, ie: Ash goes back to his old job at the S-Mart etc. However, the other more widely liked and known version (Ash awakens 100 years too late into the future) is also included on the same disc as a special feature but it is not presented in Blu Ray format, only regular DVD format. Nevertheless, you are getting two films essentially with all the special features and commentaries and photo galleries and at a very good price.

Buy it, you'll reward yourself when you see that skeleton army!

Good, good film. Very gory, not enough storyline but that doesn't really matter.
This film ties together the main plots of all 6 original Freddy Films (excluding the remake and New Nightmare) and all original Jason films (excluding remakes and Jason X)

Freddy puts Jason to use killing teens in Springwood. Parents assume Freddy is behind it and Freddy's dead memory gets remembered, therefore bringing Freddy's memory back to life so he can kill and kill again.

Following this film was a successful graphic novel sequel: Freddy vs Jason vs Ash; which brought new scope to all three franchises and give an interesting take on exactly what Freddy and Jason are and why they never, ever, ever die.

This film is a must have classic and at such a good price. DVD features are quite interesting and Freddy's one liners are just as good as Sean Connery's in his Bond films.

The most under rated of all series of this show perhaps.

Left with an unresolved cliffhanger ending this could be the oddest show concieved.

Not actually featuring the same version of Rimmer as previous series, this series deals with what happens when the Red Dwarf itself suddenly reappears at the end of series 7 along with its entire long dead crew who have no idea they ever died!

Good show, only down side: the unresolved ending which may or may not ger sorted out when the show gets up and running in 2011.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Broon's Days Oot!, 3 Jan. 2011
This review is from: The Broon's Day Oot (Paperback)
The Broons, along with Oor Wullie, are some of the best stuff to come out of DC Thomson.
The Broon's are Scotland's favourite family and their publication outdates that of Superman and Batman!
Created pre-World War II, the family get into all sorts of good natured hijinx with hilarious results.

Lately the publications of Extra Broons books have inlcuded numerous cooking books written by Maw Broon herself featuring traditional Scottish recipes going back many decades. Also published was the Broon' Gardening tips, hints and tips at how to live naturally and also Maw Broon's home made remedies, learning to heal from the often useful old wives tales and historically accurate remedies.

This book however is places to see, places to go, grand days out for famlies of all sizes to places which the Broons themselves may have gone. Many incredible adventure await you...

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good, 2 Jan. 2011
I'm sure I've been asked to review this already two other times, so lets see if this one sticks.

This is a good times table CD and helpful to young children.
Very good priced and as I've said, helpful to those who have to learn their tables at home, some of us olders ones may have a listen just to freshen up, learning doesn't stop when we leave school does it after all?

This story is a marvel in Doctor Who history.
Alien seeds pods dug up from Antarctic ice spread a plague of Krynoids, while nefarious Human players play their part in causing plant-based destruction for the entire Earth.

Parts 1-2 Borrow heavily from the film 'Thing Thing from Another World' while Part 3-6 are similar to 'The Day of the Triffids.'
