5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing!, 26 July 2011
On of the Doctor Who's I've awaited eagerly for about 15years to see again.
This is one of those 'WOW!' stories.
THe TARDIS is pulled to the planet Frontios, which buries its own dead.
Episode 1 begins when the TARDIS disappears in a wisp of smoke offscreen, it has been DESTROYED!

The story had some startling guest actors, notably Jeff Rawle (Cedric Diggory's Dad in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.) also Leslie Dunlop (Emmerdale, May to December,The Elepahnt Man (1980) Penmarric and of course Doctor Who: The Happiness Patrol, playing Susan Q.)

This is the one everyone remembers as the one where you see up Tegan's leather skirt.

:o)

Doctor Who - Planet of the Spiders [DVD] [1974]

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Swangsongs, 26 July 2011
This is Jon Pertwee's Doctor as you've never seen him.
The Doctor realises he's made a failure in the past by taking a crystal from a planet he shouldn't have.
He then has to return said crystal before the evil Spider Queen destroys the Earth, or something like that.
The Doctor has to face his fear of Death, he is not the Doctor he used to be, shaken, terrified and weakened.

With a climax that is scary and sad, one is left with a feeling that all will be okay when the Doctor does not die but instead a curly haired man with a wide grin fills the velvet jacket perfectly.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Underrated, 26 July 2011
This story is very underrated because of the BBC's then Hatred of the show and the terrible production values.

This is Sylvester's second story and he's still finding the character.

The Doctor and Mel are on the hunt for the ideal swimming pool, What!? That's plausible.
They go to Paradise Towers, a very highly rated apartent complex on Terra Alpha.
Built by Kroagnon the lunatic (always.) architech who had disappeared, the Towers is home to many evil traps, trick, terrors and travesties, not least the Rezzies.

Imagine DelBoy Trotter's apartment building one hundred years in the future and yet still populated by the paraphenaliia of the 80s.

This story is very well thought out, the visuals and acting are very good and money has actually been spent well in most places not least the acting talen which is on top form, especially the teenage Kang Gangs.

Besides, what's better than a hot redhead in a bathing costume getting eaten by a yellow robot crab?

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good Doctor Who Adventures, 26 July 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
The Gun Fighters: Classic bit of Who History. According to the related materials this was the first Western produced for British Television at the time. Featuring good acting from the regulars and guest stars this story is held together by the ballad of the 'Last Chance Saloon' sung expertly by an offscreen, unseen Linda Baron. (Nurse Gladys Emmanuelle and Captain Wrack from Peter Davison's Enlightenment)However, viewers will wonder why this release has been paired with...

The Awakening: As on of the rare two part Doctor Who stories since 'The Highlanders', this has become known as the one with the big stone face behind the church wall. Viewers may delight in the Behind the Scenes materials and also spot a good performance by well known actress Polly James of the Liver Birds fame & some other Doctor Who stalwart actors.

A good buy and must have for any HARDCORE Doctor Who fan.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best Camera Ever, 26 July 2011
This camera is one of the best I have ever used.
This quality of pictures and videos is unbelievable.
The zoom is amazing, far reaching and very clear.
There are so many functions this camera has, too many to list, but you name it,it does it, and it does a lot for the very reasonable price.
If you're after something for holiday snaps then this is a good camera but this is more for a professional.
With an autofocus which can take highly detailed images of tiny object to distan zooms of the moon this is one of the best for the price I have ever seen.
This camera takes up to an 8gb SD card I believe but does not come with one, it does however come with batteries. If you can find this camera in a bundle comprising camera, camera case, rechargable batteries with charger and SD then try that.
The movie quality is very good especially the focus, sound quality and overall standard.

I am very impressed with this buy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good art, 22 July 2011
I bought this card because I am a huge fan of the intricacies of the Wonderland stories.
These are based on Tenniel's originals and are wonderful, the pictures would've inspired the artists who made the 1951 Disney classic of Alice in Wonderland and would go on to inspire every other movie, cartoon, comic, stage production etc.

If you're mad like everyone else in the whole mad world, you will love these too.

Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me [DVD]
Twin Peaks: Fire Walk With Me [DVD]
Dvd ~ Sheryl Lee

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic film to close a fantastic tv show, 22 July 2011
This film should've been better recieved, the fans hated it but it IS brilliant.
The story of the death of Laura Palmer.

This film can only be understood fully by those who have seen the whole tv show of Twin Peaks.
This film is the tale of a very modern sexually active, drug abusing Prom Queen / Hooker who detests herself for her own vices and deviances who ends up paying the ultimate sacrifice but also gains her peace in the very end.
Not a film for children, very good, 5 out of 5.

The film failed at the box office probably because nobody was clever enough to see the truth behind it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Rubiks Cube, 20 Jun. 2011
Hardest thing on the planet aside from jumping off a cliff and landing onto a sixpence.

But it is good.

3x3 was easy.

2x2 wasn't.

Anybody there like the idea of a 1x1 novelty Rubik?

Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook: Core Rulebook 1, Vol. 3.5
Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook: Core Rulebook 1, Vol. 3.5
by Monte Cook
Edition: Hardcover

5.0 out of 5 stars D&D, 20 Jun. 2011
These 3.5s are better than 4.0, however D&D has changed and itsnt the same as it used to be, Fantasy Craft is now actually closer to how the game used to be played, it may be an idea to have a look at those too.

Meh.
