Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
I have seen the light and it’s LED this 4W = 40W larger bayonet round bulb fits the standard large Bayonet fitting perfectly.
The bulb gives a nice ‘warm white’ light similar to an incandescent bulb but uses a fraction of the electricity.
Why people are not changing to LED bulbs is a mystery as the savings a huge and the bulbs keep getting better and better, and the cost of a bulb is coming down all the time.

This extract from a well-known newspaper gives the figures:

The total power consumption of the 10 lights with old-style bulbs comes to 600W or 0.6kW. Electricity is sold in units of kilowatt-hours (kWh) – the amount of energy that a 1kW device uses in an hour. So each hour the 10 lights consume 0.6kWh. Based on a typical unit price of 12.2p per kWh, the 10 lights will cost 7.3p per hour to run. The daily cost is therefore 73p if on for 10 hours. This is equivalent to £5.11 a week, £21.90 a month or £266.45 a year.

If you replace all the bulbs with a 6W LED equivalent, the running costs will be just one tenth – or 7.3p per day, 51p a week, £2.19 a month and £26.65 a year.

Most websites are now showing a saving by replacing old style bulbs with LED bulbs within 6 months based on the above assumptions.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ghetto Raga', 18 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: Mosaic (Audio CD)
As a long time Fan of the Third Ear Band I am always hoping for some new music from the band, and when this as described 'tribute' album cam up I was intrigued, so in for a penny etc..
What we get instead is a tribute with a difference a re-imagination of the music of the third Ear band using the music of the third ear band. Roberto Musci has taken the 'plunder-phonics' approach and taken bits of music re-arranged reshaped and generally re-jigged things and has come up with an album that does not sound like the mess it could be but retains the essence of the Third Ear band while tearing apart songs and reshaping them, 'Druid One', 'Fleance' & 'Ghetto Raga' sounding very different despite the original building blocks
Its like a new album but sound like an old album, I like it purists may not but in the absence of more quality re-issues (That cupboard may well be bare now with Gonzo's recent Third Ear Band releases Also available on Amazon) this will fit the bill.

5.0 out of 5 stars Come On In My Kitchen, 16 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This review is from: To Bonnie From Delaney (Audio CD)
One of the great lost albums, To Bonnie from Delaney features a huge array of talented musicians, many of whom are or became big names in their own right later on. The line-up included with only Carl Raddle missing from Derek and the Dominos so the musicians are:
:
• Delaney Bramlett - guitar, vocals
• Bonnie Bramlett - vocals
• Duane Allman - guitar
• Mike Utley - piano
• Jim Gordon - keyboards
• Sneaky Pete Kleinow - steel guitar
• Little Richard - piano
• Jim Dickinson - piano
• Charlie Freeman - guitar
• Ben Benay - guitar
• Kenny Gradney - bass guitar
• Bobby Whitlock - piano
• Ron Tutt - drums
• Sammy Creason - drums
• Jerry Jumonville - alto saxophone
• King Curtis - tenor saxophone
• Darrell Leonard - trumpet, trombone
• Sam Clayton - congas
• Wayne Jackson - trumpet
• Jack Hale - trombone, trumpet
• Alan Estes - conga, percussion
• Jerry Scheff - bass guitar
• Tommy McClure - bass guitar
• Ed Logan - tenor saxophone
• Andrew Love - saxophone
• Frank Mayes - tenor saxophone
• Floyd Newman - baritone saxophone

This southern rock tinged album is a delight from start to finish with a mixture of originals and well-chosen covers, including the acoustic medley "Come On In My Kitchen" >"Mama, He Treats Your Daughter Mean" >"Goin' Down the Road Feelin' Bad" & "Living on the Open Road" which features Duane Allman as a highlight, and has appeared on a few compilations over the years.

This album has been long out of print but thank you to Wounded Bird for this 2016 re-issue. The sound quality is good and honest with a bit of tape hiss here and there, showing that this has not been no-noised at least. The Dynamics are good though this is mastered quite loud, but at least it’s in print for a while at least.

Rimmel London Look Lipstick comes in a standard lipstick tube applies easily and stays on the lips well, and feels (according to my daughter) like its moisturising as well and as advertised. Colour is good not much else to add, it’s a good lipstick at Amazon prices.

4.0 out of 5 stars Quite handy in the conservatory, 15 Jun. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This works to a point the warm glow of a nightlight attracts the flies, and the sticky paper captures the flies, this is a modern twist on the old fashioned flypaper.
Plug this in at night but it has to be not covered by a curtain or behind a sofa really just for safety’s sake.
The product can be used immediately and comes with 5 paper/card inserts which are relatively easy to remove and dispose of.
A good product, and one that quite handy in the conservatory which seems to be a big attraction for insects.

3.0 out of 5 stars Looks like little balls of earwax, and has a texture which is light and fluffy almost marshmallowy, 14 Jun. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
This comes in a larger pack than I was expecting for a product weighing 250g. It’s said that you could/should add a couple of spoons full of this to a yogurt or smoothie, to get the nutritional benefits of the product and to be honest that’s probably all you would want.
It’s quite nice sprinkled on a salad as well, but to my mind it does have a rather funny smell a honey and flower mixture smell (it is pollen I hear you cry) which I guess is to be expected. It looks like little balls of earwax, and has a texture which is light and fluffy almost marshmallowy.
Is it a super food, only the packet wold seem to state that, is it sustainable I am not sure as I have no idea how its harvested, but given the description I am not wholly convinced that this did not result in the loss of bees (a precious commodity).
Overall a great product to try take the benefits with a pinch of salt, and I do have reservations on exactly how its produced, but it does make a nice garnish.

5.0 out of 5 stars ‘for the student’ but actually is very good for anyone looking for quick low cost recipes, 13 Jun. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Healthy and handy cook book advertised ‘for the student’ but actually is very good for anyone looking for quick and generally low cost recipes.
Each recipe is graded by cost 1 to 3, 1 being the cheapest to thee the most expensive; this included one recipe with salmon which on the whole was still very reasonable.
The book follows the standard recipe book format of pictures and instructions many only having 4 or 5 lines of basic instruction and they most come out very well following that instruction. All recipes look nutritionally balanced, and there is even a plan for each day of the week so the student in the family does not even have to think about that.
A very nice note book sized recipe book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Part 2 the tree stump, 11 Jun. 2016
Customer review from the Amazon Vine Programme (What's this?)
Quite a good garden Pouffe, the concept is simple blow up the black 'bladder' and then cover with the wood stump printed cover, yes it comes in two parts.
Is it comfortable yes does it look real no but it does have a kitsch appeal and does not look out of place in the garden.
The cover is washable wipeable and if you really wanted to you could put in in the washing machine.
I do like this as an extra piece of garden furniture, and it does offer a talking point.

5.0 out of 5 stars ‘So You want to be a Rock 'n' roll Star', 10 Jun. 2016
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A re-issue of the original 1968 EP expanded and enhanced, what you get here is the 2007 remixes which appeared first on the Salvo Move Anthology (available at a price on Amazon). These are a mixed bag but give a reasonable running order for a Move concert of the time.
The best bit is the original 5 track Mono EP which has never received a proper release on CD before (The Edsel Something Else… plus was a mismatch and slightly edited).
For the record though the original EP was only covers from the Moves Live set the 2007 re-mixes and fixed tracks feature Move Originals ‘Move Bolero’ (Nothing but a slight musical introduction) ‘Flower in the Rain’ & ‘Fire Brigade’, the other songs covers of various American Songs showcase the musicianship of the move live, ‘So You want to be a Rock 'n' roll Star' and ‘Piece of my heart’ being highlights for me.
Though there is nothing new as such on this release unlike the other Esoteric release for Move fans this is a must just for the original EP. Unlike the other Esoteric releases this comes in a jewel case as well
