I am a model maker and painter and find this item of especial value to paint 25-30mm models. Although, I presume, this was originally designed as a watch makers tool and the magnifying glass focus is a but near for me it is notwithstanding a valuable help.
Dispatch and delivery was prompt and without problems (I live in the Canary Islands where delivery is not always possible from some companies).
ArturoLudwig comes therefore highly recommended!

This is a sci-fi novel with a difference, a highly original story that grips from start to finish. The amusing characters all have recognisable human traits that I could relate to. The life of those shut up in compounds on Earth are contrasted with those enjoying a more privileged existence on satellite Oasis. Both worlds can be seen as a reflection of our current society. The quirky characters all have their own agenda and this makes for both suspense and humour. I never knew from chapter to chapter what was going to happen and I found myself chuckling aloud at some of the inventive antics.. A thoroughly enjoyable, thought-provoking read.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another brilliant adaptation, 20 May 2014

This is both my wife and daughter's favorite novel. Unusually the serialisation is just as good. The cast led by Matthew MacFadyen and Jim Broadbent are absolutely brilliant. Eat your heart out Forrest Gump which, although not a bad film, tackles more or less the same concept of an ordinary man meeting famous figures and interacts in extraordinary historical events. Recommended!!

This is one instance where the series is as good as the play! Brilliant adaptation and absolute superb acting. A must have if you are interested in how public schools in the 1930's formed so many odd characters and how it was possible for upper class youngsters to become influenced by communism so diametrically opposite to their upbringing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ich bin ein Berliner, 30 Jan. 2013

Having just visited Berlin a few weeks before watching the DVD it struck me as how close to the explanation Matt Frei comes as to what makes Berliners tick. It is a true eye-opener and explains the uniqueness of the citizens of this remarkable city. Having veered from one extreme doctrine to another, survived untold miseries, death and destruction, culture and abject barbarism, these people have risen above it all. Matt Frei's documentary explores all these aspects and more and really get's under their skin.

Michael Wood has done it again. A breathtaking documentary following the tracks of Alexander of Macedon on his travels and conquests of most of the then known (and partly unknown) world.

This is a classic. It creaks, the acting is wooden and the English voice overs are hilarious. But it is a massive 94 part epic unparallelled in it's breath and scope. A real marathon of colour, action and visuals of India's main epic tale of the God's, their offspring and the effect of their doings on the human race. Awesome and thoroughly recommended. They don't make them like this any more!!

Dvd ~ Assumpta Serna

5.0 out of 5 stars Dark Borgia, 18 Feb. 2012
This set contains the complete ist series split into 12 episodes of "Borgia" (not to be confused with the much tamer version with Jeremy Irons called "The Borgia"). It was made for the German and Austrian market but also shown in France and Spain. The quality is almost as good as the HD version shown on Spanish Canal+. Historicaly speaking some gross liberties have been taken with the subject matter, but this seems to be the prevailing trend nowadays (i.e. The Tudors, Rome, Spartacus...). It does however portray in a rather realistic way a gruesome period of Italian history when life was cheap and people did almost anything to get to the top (not much change here from the current corporate or political world then). All in all a rather disturbing and very realistic look at the world of the so-called Rennaissance, which combined terribles crimes on the one hand and a flourishing of art and culture on the other. Highly recommended viewing for people who want to get a feel (in more ways than one) of a turbulent period.
