2.0 out of 5 stars Not much here., 21 Mar. 2016
I did not like this book. I felt that it doesn't seek to provide any meaningful answers, but rather just takes a look at a few white 'racists' as if they were a curiosity in a zoo and then asserts that they are wrong. There's no attempt to actually understand their motives, as I expected to the book to be, but rather just a statement of views and a sharp rebuff. I understand that the author has an agenda, and that's fine, but there was nothing revealing or entertaining in this book, which is a shame.

5.0 out of 5 stars A beautifully written message (but short), 1 July 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a lovely little book with a pleasant message which, for many people, presents a genuinely big shift in state of mind. But, be warned, it's very short and some will be disappointed - it's really more of a blog post than a book. Still, it's good enough to warrant the 59p.

If you like John's other books, you'll like this. Very good. A nice story, well written, as we would expect from John.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny, 30 April 2012
David Cross's book and CDs are always great, and this one is also very funny. Really worth it. Not sure how the one star reviewer on this can give an accurate review just by watching 16 mins, it gets stronger as it goes on.

5.0 out of 5 stars Pure. Joy., 9 April 2012
These pens are remarkable. Truly remarkable.

I ordered them with some tribulation. Spending this kind of money on ten coloured pens is not normal behaviour for me.

But, I did it. I took a chance and almost forgot about the order.

Then they arrived.

I opened the package and was greeted by something beautiful. It's clear that these pens are wonderful to look at. They are impressive, but not too intimidating either.

The industrial design on the case is a marvel. The lid folds around to form a stand, which leaves the pens easy to access. It is a perfectly executed idea, and has, put frankly, changed my life. Truly wizard.

That's the case. Now, to the pens themselves. They are comprised of an array of colours that look like they could have easily been milked from a unicorn. Pure joy.

And, how do the pens write? Again, pure joy. They glide over the page like an oiled swan that leaves beautiful colours in its wake. There is no scratching or evilness here, just pure joy.

They are in a triangular shape, which makes them surprisingly wonderful to hold. They also look wonderful individually. There's a chain you may not always be able to carry the case around. If that is so, just take one a three pens with you: you will still look totally wicked awesome. I could grip these pens all day and never get bored.

Picture this: God is sat in his study making colourful notes. What pens do you think he's using?

Picture this also, if you can: Batman is sat in the Batcave, writing complicated notes on how to foil the latest super-villain: what pens do you think he's using?

Yep. You guessed it:

These are the pens that God, or even Batman, would use.

Pure. Perfection.

Pure. Joy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Book, 26 Mar. 2012
This is a really great book. You may know Sara from her Internet exploits and podcasts, where she is always funny and entertaining. This book is very funny, but also tenderly truthful, explaining her real experiences with agoraphobia. Must read!

5.0 out of 5 stars It is free and it is great, 8 Aug. 2011
Contrary to what some other reviewers seem to think, this magazine is free forever and is not a trial. It is a digest version of the full magazine.

Therefore, by definition, you should not expect the full magazine. It does say about a 14 day trial above, but that is just the general copy from all Kindle magazine pages and not actually pursuant to this FREE DIGEST version, which is rather obvious if you read it carefully.

The content itself is also very good. It has good articles and reviews and other sections from the magazine. And, even if it were just one article, how can you complain, given that it's free?

Bravo Amazon. I hope to see more Digest versions of popular publications in the future.

This is an incredible album: one of the best to come from a UK artist in many many years!
