5.0 out of 5 stars Obama's destruction of the USA, 2 Nov. 2016

The gift of oratory and the fluent lies that Obama so convincingly speaks have left many people deluded concerning the destruction that has occurred under the Obama administration. This book looks at the upbringing of Obama and the way in which his worldview has been developed. It exposes his evil and devious ways in which he has undermined the moral, financial and political fabric of American society.

It is clear that Obama had an agenda that was anti- Christian, anti - American and anti - Israel from the moment he entered the Oval Office. William Koenig has done an impressive job in detailing the astonishing evil that has been perpetrated by this the 44th. President of the USA. As Nebuchadnezzar was used by God in 586BC to bring judgement on Israel after it had embraced the horrific pagan practices of the neighbouring nations, so I believe Obama is bringing judgement on America. This will become evident I am sure in the days ahead, probably sooner rather than later. As the Bible states, " Be not deceived, God is not mocked, whatsoever a man sows that shall he also reap." (Galatians 6:7)

I strongly recommend this book for those wanting to understand the true legacy of the Obama administration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Amazing love, faith, suffering and joy., 17 Aug. 2014

Here is a true story of a Muslim girl who found faith in Jesus Christ. Her love, dedication and suffering are not only heart stirring but also soul challenging. To read this book without being deeply moved and challenged would be impossible. It is truly an inspiring story and I would give it the highest recommendation particularly because the love of Jesus shines through every page.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heaven is our home!, 27 Nov. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
For those Christians who have been bereaved this book provides a number of scriptural answers to the many questions that arise concerning the departed. Surprisingly many Christians have a vague and fuzzy notion of what heaven is like. Some have little joy in anticipating heaven because of this. Paul Enns gives a comforting insight into our future home, describing it in earthly terms which we can understand, but with everything enhanced to a degree we have only faintly experienced on earth. In reading this book it not only makes one look forward to heaven, but it creates a great desire to share the gospel with those who do not know Jesus Christ as their Saviour and Lord. If God is not willing that any should perish, then we too should be concerned for the salvation of others, especially of course those of our own families. Strongly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Full Gospel, 26 Sept. 2013

This review is from: Christ the Healer (Kindle Edition)
This book highlights the fact that while we say that we believe God's Word, in practise we find we do not. F.F.Bosworth shows clearly from the scripture that healing of the body is included in the atonement. In Psalm 103 it speaks of God forgiving all our sins and healing all our diseases in the same sentence. Strange he we accept the first part without hesitation, but often fail to appropriate the second part. It appears that we have faith in accordance with our experience rather than in the Word of God and as a result miss out on the healing that is ours in Calvary. There are a number of faith inspiring testimonies in this book, but the main emphasis is to teach the truth of God's Word so that our faith will be firmly rooted in what God says and not in anything else.

A must read for all Christians. Strongly recommended!

The scenario presented in this book is fictional but is terrifyingly possible. An important read particularly for those politicians that are asleep to the real threat Iran poses not only to Israel but to the whole world.

5.0 out of 5 stars God Reigns, 15 Jun. 2013
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
This is a fascinating book which draws back the veil on much of what is happening in the world and enables us to see things from God's perspective. Christians should of course have awareness of these things through the Bible, but this book details certain happenings in respect of 9/11 and the 2008 economic collapse. Some of the things written in this book are a real wake up call to the Western world.

Although this book is written in the form of a novel, this in no way diminishes its impact because of the undeniable facts around which the story is written. I have often said that the most significant happening in the world today (mainly unknown to the secular news media) is that Jesus Christ is building His Church and in parallel with that God is working out His purposes with the nation of Israel.

This book is a real eye opener and should encourage us to study carefully the prophetic revelation in the Bible concerning the age in which we live and the conclusion towards which it is rapidly heading, "The kingdoms of this world have become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ." (Rev. 11:15)

2.0 out of 5 stars Beware of having a wrong focus, 11 April 2013

This is an interesting book that has obviously been well researched. It is also a dangerous book. Interesting because there are many facts relating to the Masonic foundations in the history of the United States of America; The Masonic symbolism of the Great Seal and the Masonic layout of Washington and the various connections of masons from American presidents to the Vatican. On the other hand it places an over emphasis on occultic prophecies and predictions and gives a strong impression that 2012 would be a very significant date with the likelihood of the tribulation or some such momentous event starting then. No such thing has happened and therein lies the danger.

Long before I had finished the book I was reinforced in my belief that all that we need to know about the last days God has revealed in the Bible. It tells us of the signs of the times we can look for, many of which are fulfilled in our day and of the many deceptions that will arise to draw us into error. While some predictions of occultic figures in history have proved accurate, many others have been completely false. All prophecies of scripture have been 100% accurate and we can be totally assured that those yet to be fulfilled will likewise be so. The main danger of this book is in its focus on Masonic, occultic and satanic matters as if they are going to help us understand what is happening in these days. The most significant thing that is happening on earth in these days is that Jesus Christ is building His Church and in parallel with that God is fulfilling His purposes in respect of the nation of Israel.

While it is good to be intelligently informed about some of the issues written in this book, we should always let God's Word be "a lamp to our feet and a guide to our path." (Psalm 119:105) God's plan is revealed in scripture and one thing that is strongly emphasised is that we need to watch because we do not know the time of Christ's coming but seeing the signs we are encouraged to look up for our redemption draws nigh. Let us avoid speculation especially that based on the powers of darkness and focus instead on the revealed truth of the scriptures.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not the God of the Bible, 11 Jan. 2013
This review is from: The Shack (Paperback)
I had read so many reviews of this book with such contrasting opinions, that I felt I could not judge its contents without reading it for myself.

I must admit I found it a bit of an ordeal to read and I cringed at times at the grotesque caricature of the trinity which William Young portrays. Although it is a work of fiction, the author is clearly presenting a god reflecting his personal conception and imagination.

Just recently I have been reading A.W.Tozer's book "Knowledge of the Holy." This was written over 60 years ago and in it he writes, "It is my opinion that the Christian conception of God in the middle years of the twentieth century is so decadent as to be utterly beneath the dignity of the Most High God and actually to constitute for professed believers something amounting to a moral calamity." What is written in "The Shack" would I think cause him to shudder in horror.

The holiness and awesome majesty of God found in Isaiah chapter 6 which caused the seraphims to cover their faces and their feet with their wings while crying "Holy, Holy, Holy is the Lord of Hosts" is nowhere to be found in "The Shack." Instead we have a god made in the image of man. Tozer in his preface refers to the church's loss of the concept of majesty from the popular religious mind. He writes, "The church has surrendered her once lofty concept of God and has substituted for it one so low, so ignoble, as to be utterly unworthy of thinking, worshipping men. This she has not done deliberately, but little by little and without her knowledge; and her unawareness only makes her situation all the more tragic."

Why I wondered is it necessary to "humanise" God when He has already been manifest in the flesh in the person of our Lord Jesus Christ. The portrayal of Christ in the gospels and throughout all the scriptures is surely the one that we should meditate on and cling to.

There are a number of doctrinal errors and unscriptural ideas in "The Shack" and there are a number of reviews where these have been pointed out, so I will refrain from reiterating them.

I suspect that this review may come across as judgemental and who am I to judge anybody? However my main concern in writing this is to encourage people to focus on the God of the Bible and to give Him all the honour, glory, adoration, love and worship of which He is so eternally worthy.

Finally from a hymn composed by Rev. Ian Macpherson:-

If I but knew thee as thou art
O loveliness unknown
With what desire O Lord my heart
Would claim thee for its own.
