4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent but Surprising:I can see why this film is a 12!!!, 25 Feb. 2006
This review is from: Mean Girls [2004] [DVD] (DVD)
This film was really good,i thought the 'Plastics' played their parts well, and Lindsay Lohan got sucked right into their evil ways (in the film)!!!
I was really surprised at the amount of rudeness though!!!I watched it on my own and giggled, but sometimes thought 'that is a bit too much language!I am 11,but am 12 REALLY soon, and i seriously do not reccommend this to anyone under the age of 10.
It is about Cady (Lohan) who has just moved from Africa to America and she is trying to fit in in her new Secondry school,of course there is a handsome boy sitting in front of her in classs and she goes dreamy-eyed over him...but Virginia (the meanest plastic) is the hunky boy's ex-girlfriend,so when Cady befriens her,it all goes seriously wrong...
I would buy, borrow or rent this DVD soon,it is guarnteed a good laugh and helps to understand that popularity is DEFINITELY not everything!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book, and just as excellent t.v series!!!, 8 Feb. 2006
Johnny and the Bomb just has to be the best out of all the Johnny series, partly because it helps you notice how children today have changed from children back in 1941,but mainly because it is so touching about how far Johnny will go to save his grandma from getting bombed.
My favourite character is Kirsty, because she is so good at judo and confident in herself!!!I think this book is really funny, but sad in parts too.
Johnny and the Bomb has recently been made into a three-part t.v series and it is just how i imagined the book to be,on a recent interview Terry Pratchett (the author) said it was just like walking into his head when he was writing the book!
I really reccomend this book to children (and adults as well!) adged 7 to whatever age!!!I thouroughly enjoyed it and if you like stories about the past with a twist the this is the book for you!!!

3.0 out of 5 stars Book Review, 21 Jan. 2006
This book was really great,it shows that sisters DO care for each other, but some hide it more than others!I am not rating it too highly, though because i thought the plot could have been better.
I hope this helped!

Bumface (Puffin Teenage Books)
Bumface (Puffin Teenage Books)
by Morris Gleitzman
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.99

5.0 out of 5 stars This book is so not for just over 12's it's for over 9's, 21 Sept. 2005
Angus Solomonis the main character in this brilliant story by Morris Gleitzman, he is 12 years old and has 2 younger children 2 look after, (WARNING:DO NOT read this book if you are strong on whats fair and whats not, because this book is VERY unfair) it is a bit rude and don't read it if you are 8 and under because it might offend ur parents.Angus meets Rindi one day after school, and he thought HE had problems...
Read this book if u like books on family problems and everyday life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really excellent book for ANYONE going through Puberty, 21 Sept. 2005
This book is really funny - even though it is about a serius subject like growing up.It explains things clearly and carefully with little jokes along the way,i recommend this book for any girl who is going through Puberty, but keep out of the way of little children who can read because there are a couple of naughty words in it!!!I hope my review helped you.

3.0 out of 5 stars Very old fashioned but good book, 19 Sept. 2005
I like this book a lot,i find it very easy to read but i am 10! That just shows you are never to old for Enid Blyton books!!!
It is about 3 children called Joe,beth and Frannie and i don't recommend this book if you are a modern child becauce they talk awfully old fashioned!Six and upwards would suit to this book i think because anybody younger would lose the plot a bit.Hope my rewiew helped you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Cool girls book, 16 Sept. 2005
This book is a must for all girls who love being a girl, adventures and of course...SLEEPOVERS!!!!!!!!
These three fantastic books are full of action and only some bits are about Fliss (one of the Sleepover clubbers) gibbering on about clothes and make-up!Get it before it's too late,or if you haven't got the money get it from the library!I myself are most like Frankie, but you get it to find out who you are most like.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great book for growing girls, 10 Sept. 2005
Really well explained-if you are between 9 and 17 this book is a must,it explains what happens to you, what sort of tampon/pad/towel to use and answers LOADS of questions from girls which are really helpful for a girl going through Puberty.I am 10 and saw it on this website,i then suggested it too my mum and she brought for me.Very clear diagrams.
