5.0 out of 5 stars Thank God for Bon Jovi - Absolutely Brilliant Album, 21 Mar. 2013
This review is from: What About Now (Audio CD)
After depressing myself listening to the worst David Bowie album ever "The Next Day" i was given this new Bon Jovi album to listen to and Thank God!! i did listen to it
as every track is absolutely fantastic and will be ideal for me when i want to go on those long journeys down the motorway.
Bon Jovi sound better than ever, the production is fantastic and Jon Bon Jovi's voice is no different to the "Slippery When Wet" days.
If you need a really good rock album then you need to definitely go and buy this.
Five Stars all around as this album is stunning and the most refreshing i have heard for a long time.
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Heaven and Hell - A Sad Epitaph for a Great Band, 18 Mar. 2013
Heaven and Hell or Black Sabbath incarnate instrumentally are great during this live concert but i would say not quite as good as the Live in Europe Album.
The Truth let it be known here is that the tracks on the Devil You Know Album are first class but this is where so tragically the Band come to a shuddering halt with no one knowing in the band
that Ronnie James Dio was suffering from stomach cancer and the vocal performance reminds me of what we all know now but didn't know then.
I hate seeing or hearing great singers or rock vocalists sounding out of there range and struggling whereas the rest of the band are on top form but this most definitely was not Ronnie's Fault.
I was looking forward to some more albums by Heaven and Hell(Black Sabbath) with Ronnie Dio in good health and feel a sadness that this legendary Rock Vocalist should be cut down in his prime.
I will give this album 5 stars for the genius and bravery of Heavy Rock Legend Ronnie James Dio !!!!
A Sad Epitaph for a Great Band!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars Sounds like he is singing behind a Tin Bath!!!!, 18 Mar. 2013
This review is from: The Next Day (Audio CD)
Lets get one thing straight, this album will most probably sell shedloads and be bought by loads of David Bowie Fans.
If this album was released by him in 1985 it would be slated and would be panned by critics but as this has been released after near enough a decade after his last two albums which were also panned or slated then every one jumps on the bandwagon of ohhhh! it's David Bowie lets get all excited and lets go and buy it and it is his greatest work ever for which it most definitely is not.
This is a very poor album which sounds like every song is being sung behind a tin bath from David Bowie's Shed.
The cover is either a statement in modern art which is rubbish anyway if you have any sense with his classic album Heroes which was good covered with just a plain white like Post it Note over it with the title in aerial black so no expense spared there.
This has to be the most over rated, over hyped comeback of all time and although once a legend has now become rather sad and dated.
Relegation Zone in the David Bowie list of Classic Albums.
Go and Buy Hunky Dory,Ziggy Stardust,Aladdin Sane,Diamond Dogs,Young Americans, Scary Monsters,Heroes etc and you will get the proper David Bowie not this load of old bilge!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars One of the Best Heavy Metal Albums of All Time !!!!!!!!!, 18 Feb. 2013
This review is from: The Number Of The Beast (Audio CD)
Paul Di Anno was a very hard act to follow and Iron Maiden were on an upward curve with NWOBHM until he left the Band and the bringing in of Bruce Dickinson from SAMSON added another edge to there sound with his brilliant vocals and with the Rawness polished and more focused on the production we had THE NUMBER OF THE BEAST and WHAT AN ALBUM!!!!!
Again unlike the first two albums the production really shines through and we get the classic Maiden Sound with classic after classic such as "Run to the Hills" , Hallowed be thy Name" and "22 Acacia Avenue".
The whole Band and Dave Murray's Guitar work are unbelievable and if you like Heavy Metal then this Album is an essential Must Have!!!.
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!!!One of the Best Heavy Metal Albums of All Time!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars The Best Heavy Metal Debut of all Time, Absolutely Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!, 18 Feb. 2013
This review is from: Iron Maiden (MP3 Download)
What i love about this Iron Maiden Album is the the total rawness of it all.
Every Track is absolutely Brilliant and Paul Di Anno adds a raw edge to every track.
Prowler is absolutely excellent and the guitar work on Transylvania is also unbelievable.
This was very early days and Iron Maidens Debut but WHAT A DEBUT!!!!.
I know Steve Harris has gone on record to say that the production on this could have been better but i totally disagree as this is Iron Maiden at there very best and totally RAW!!!!.
Every Heavy Metal or Rock Band has a stand out classic such as Smoke on the Water - Deep Purple
Stairway To Heaven - Led Zeppelin
Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen
But i believe and still believe today that the Track "Phantom of the Opera" should join those Classics as it has to be one the very best Heavy Metal Tracks of all time as the Guitar Work and Musicianship and interchanges are on a different level even with today's standards.
I would say the best Debut Heavy Metal Album of all time.

5.0 out of 5 stars AT LAST!!! A TRUE BRILLIANT CLASSIC ROCK ALBUM FOR 2013 !!!!!!!!!!!!, 8 Feb. 2013
This review is from: Snakecharmer (Audio CD)
This has to be a contender or if not the Best Rock Album of 2013.
It makes a pleasant change to hear a Classic Soft Rock Album where everyone is at the top of there game and have not gone too far over the top.
David Coverdale you need to take note as Snakecharmer at the moment are miles better with this album than your last 2 efforts with Whitesnake.
If you get a chance to go and see a Brilliant Band Live this year then these guys must come right near the top.
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Thinking the Worst but WOW!!!! Where did this come from!!!, 31 Jan. 2013
I listened to this thinking the worst and maybe another old pop star having a last tragic throw of the Dice and WOW!!!
Adam Ant sounds even better than in his heyday and that is saying something, this is an absolute Gem of an Album and a surprise beginning to 2013.
Cool Zombie the first track is very catchy and the rest of the tracks are also BRILLIANT !!!
this has to be the comeback of the decade as Adam Ants vocals are superb on this and his voice seems to have got better with age.
I don't always give great reviews but this album is an exception and also a total surprise and i hope will be one of the biggest albums of the year.

1.0 out of 5 stars A Sad Tragic last throw of the Dice!!! Worst Record Ever!!!, 22 Jan. 2013
This review is from: Where Are We Now? (MP3 Download)
This has to be the saddest review that i have done so far!!!!!!
David Bowie was and always will be a Rock Legend but this has to be one of the saddest and worst records that he has ever brought out.
I know we have not heard anything from the Thin White Duke in nearly a decade but before all this he was virtually finished.
This single reminds me of a man who is trying to somehow reclaim past glories who is maybe suffering from Clinical Depression and failing miserably with one last tragic throw of the dice.
His voice has completely gone and it is absolutely awful to hear a once great rock legend reduced to this pathetic excuse for a single.
I would rather remember David Bowie when he was Ziggy Stardust and The Thin White Duke up to the Berlin Years and Scary Monsters and Lets Dance Albums.
What on earth was he thinking as for one his voice sounds like he is crying out for help and is completely out of tune and what on earth is the single all about anyway as he sounds like he has written it while he has had the sulks on the back of an old cigarette packet while in a depressive mood.
Give up David and let us remember you when you were at the peak of your powers not this Sad Tragic Mess!!.
Your Fans are not teenagers anymore and have all grown up and i think it is about time you did too as time have moved forward from your era.

5.0 out of 5 stars Michael Buble v Rod Stewart = A Christmas Album Draw, 3 Jan. 2013
I Bought this for Xmas and must say it is a cracking Xmas Album by Michael Buble.
I also have Rod Stewart's Merry Xmas Baby Album as well and have to say that you need a gnats eyelash to separate the two as
they are both brilliant and they duet on each others corresponding albums.
Michael Buble has a fantastic voice and the arrangements here for a Xmas album and feel are absolutely first class.
if you want to go and treat yourself get both Michael Buble's and Rod Stewart's Xmas albums together as they are both Brilliant.
A Must Have for Xmas!!!!

1.0 out of 5 stars No Emotion, No Passion and a Face like a Smacked Behind!!!, 18 Dec. 2012
This review is from: Impossible (Audio CD)
Where do i begin!
Impossible is a depressing song sung by a depressing man who has had a depressing life end of!!!
James Arthur has won the X Factor 2012 but comes across like a man who sings with no emotion , no joy and no passion whatsoever!!
As the series wore on he seems like he is getting more contemptious to the people who have voted for him in the Victoria Beckham kind of sense and has gone from being a Street Busker on the Tube who you would avoid or give your old shrapnel too or Penny for the Guy Merchant to Stardom unbelievably Overnight.
Impossible has the amazing James Arthur Twist in which he can make any happy song sound like you need Prozac to avoid deep depression.
Don't get me wrong, i think this will fit as the Xmas No 1 as times are tough nowadays and what with people in debt ,unemployment and homelessnesss this song will fit the depression of 2012 fine and James Arthur is the man to fill it as it is depression all the way.
Don't get me wrong, i bet some people out there will be queing up to have a go at me after this review but Jimmy Page,Elton John, Rod Stewart, Paul McCartney, Pete Townshend or Gary Barlow even this guy AINT!!!!.
James Arthur towards the last few weeks of X Factor looked like a guy with a face like a Smacked Behind and sings every song in that same depressing drawl like the other and 4 people or judges who feel sorry for him think he is great but what about the rest of us a i definitely did not vote for him in any of them.
I do not think this kind of fame will last and although he has won i think Jahmene and some of the losing contestants are destined for a much brighter future than this load of depressing pap!!!
James Arthur is better off flogging this kind of stuff at either Soup Kitchens or Hostels for the Homeless rather than us paying Punters!!!!!
