5.0 out of 5 stars the best yet??, 15 May 2013
This review is from: Promises (MP3 Download)
the boxer rebellion return with their fourth album, following exits, union and the cold still. i would say this is their most complete one yet. there isn't a bad track here, from the single "diamonds" through to the final song "promises"
the boxer sound has mellowed and progressed since 2003 and i think it sounds better for it.
nathan's voice sounds fantastic, especially when hitting the high notes. other tracks "fragile", "always", "low" and "new york" bring out the best of the band.
they completely deserve "promises" to be a major breakthrough success for them. it's on repeat play at the moment for me!

1.0 out of 5 stars not very good, 22 Aug. 2008
bought this answerphone just before christmas. i have found it very difficult to hear people phoning me having to turn off the tv volume and really press the receiver to my ear.
added to this the answerphone has now broken and won't allow anyone to leave messages, telling them to phone back later.
not a happy bunny!

5.0 out of 5 stars laugh out loud, 10 Nov. 2007
This review is from: Pets with Tourette's (Hardcover)
i haven't laughed so much in a long while. what was slightly embarassing was being in the middle of the local waterstones at the time with people wondering what on earth i was doing. also a bit unsure as it was on a shelf where children could see it. definitely worth buying.
