1.0 out of 5 stars Avoid this!, 9 Jun. 2014
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
A very poorly designed and made product. I bought two and they do not hold the capsules on all four sides. Very small differences in the width of the bars allow capsules to tumble out. Complete waste of money.

It does the job very well - and a lot better than the more expensive products I have bought earlier.

4.0 out of 5 stars Really useful tool, 6 Mar. 2012
I thought this was a bit silly, but it really does make it easier to use an iPad. Yes, you can live without it, but if you are using small font, fiddly websites or using apps that require finesse for writing or painting then you should get this.

This is a very good product. Inexpensive compared to official merchandise and good value for money. I thought I would just use it occasionally but it is a permanent feature. Seems to wear well.

Armageddon: The Battle for Germany 1944-45
Armageddon: The Battle for Germany 1944-45

5.0 out of 5 stars Not just for WWII buffs, 29 Mar. 2006
This is quite simply one of the best history books available dealing with this subject matter. In terms of the quality of the writing it simply stands head and shoulders above the rest. I often find that books of this type can get bogged down in excessive detail particularly when relating to the movement of armies across Europe. Hastings' writing style ensures that this is a book for anyone: it is well written, nicely balanced and full of interest. It is perfectly interspersed with anecdotes from servicemen of the period, allowing the reader to understand the reality of the conflict. The other agreeable aspect of this book is that the author is not afraid to give his own thoughtful and reasoned opinions - setting it aside from many other books on the Second World War that seek to relate just facts, without meaningful interpretation.

4.0 out of 5 stars Essential reading on Johnny Cash, 10 Mar. 2006
Quite simply a very good book on both Cash and the development of country music. Read this if the subject matter interests you at all. The book is well written, flows smoothly and structures the wealth of information available. Even better, read it whilst listening to 'American Recordings'.

Arise Sir Terry Wogan

1.0 out of 5 stars This book contributes nothing to anything, 10 Mar. 2006
This review is from: Arise Sir Terry Wogan (Hardcover)
Possibly the worst book I have ever read of any genre. I would have enjoyed a good book on Wogan. This is not it.
It fails on three levels: 1. There is nothing original in this book. The complete lack of any references suggests that this was cobbled together from a quick scan of other books and articles. The author does not appear to have spoken to anyone on her subject. 2. The meaningful contents of the book could be compacted into a pamphlet. The book was obviously intended to cash in on Sir Terry's knighthood and, in order to justify the cost and cover the lack of effort, the author constantly repeats the same points over and over. One suspects that three pages later she has forgotten that she has already said something a dozen times previously. 3. The book is quite simply very badly written, with little discernible structure. The written skill level appears to be that of a twelve year old.
