May Contain Traces Of Magic
May Contain Traces Of Magic
by Tom Holt
Edition: Paperback
Price: £9.99

5.0 out of 5 stars Very funny and good story, 20 Feb. 2013
Really enjoyed it.

The story moves fast, and there are a good twists throughout.

The story is that a man's GPS starts talking to him, and he feels there is nothing wrong with it. Soon he finds demons are trying to kill him, and a secret government agency is also after him.

The ending has a good suspense. Really fun book, I recommend it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but not good overall, 20 Feb. 2013
This review is from: Good Omens (Paperback)
It was funny but certainly not the funniest book I have ever read.

The Anti Christ is born, but he is just a normal kid and wants to live a normal life- play with his friends, go out, and not really end the world. Then there are the Angel and Demon, who are actually friends, and don't want to end the world either. They both enjoy their life in this world.

While the book is a good read, it isn't that great. Parts of it dragged, and weren't funny at all.

Read it if you get your hands on it and have nothing else to read

The Eyes of Darkness
The Eyes of Darkness
by Dean Koontz
Edition: Paperback

3.0 out of 5 stars A haunting tale let down by a poor ending, 20 Feb. 2013
This review is from: The Eyes of Darkness (Paperback)
I read this on the plane, and found it slightly scary.

A woman loses her child in an accident. And then suddenly, she starts getting messages from him. No one believes her, and she starts to wonder if she is crazy....

So why 3 stars? I found the ending a bit weak. Without giving away any spoilers, it seemed a bit stretched and unbelievable. I don't know- it could have ended better.

So while the story is good, it is let down by a weak ending. Still, not bad.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great book, 20 Feb. 2013
Anthony Robbins teaches us that success is habit forming and the habit of success, once learned, is nearly impossible to forget - and all in a brilliant new series design for Robbins.

This book is great. It teaches you step by step on how to achieve your goals. The steps are not that hard, and obviously the book will work better for you if you actually follow the steps.

I found this book very useful, and would recommend it to anyone.

The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari
The Monk Who Sold his Ferrari
by Robin Sharma
Edition: Paperback
Price: £6.99

3.0 out of 5 stars Good not great, 20 Feb. 2013
I think this is a good read - however not the best book of its genre...

It wasnt deep enough (I feel). I prefer books like Autobiography of a Yogi, which seemed more authentic to me.

The problem with this book is, there is nothing new in it. If you have been reading new age / self help books, you will know everything in this book already. Still not bad, get it from a library is my advice.
