2.0 out of 5 stars Its quite good if it doesn't crash, providing it loads in the first place..., 22 Dec. 2012

I'll start with the positives. They've made the game play a lot better, it's easier to tackle and defend that fifa 12, and there's a lot more variety to the types of goals you scored. The season and cup online modes are great, although see below. The novelty of saving the squad changes made is useful too. I actually quite enjoy the skill games too. Never really use career mode so won't review that.

However, fundamentally this is a computer game and seeing as it is 2012 certian functionalities should work, but this isn't the case with fifa13. The game itself frequently fails to even load up, freezing halfway through boot up. I don't have this problem with any other game. When trying to play online the game can often just endlessly loop in the areana. The only way out of this is to restart the game, it would have been very easy and useful to have a return option in the area, in fact any cancel buttons would be a start for a game that freezes so regularly. At various stages the game fails to connect to the online service and signs me out of the ps network frequently. It also asks me for the activation code every couple of weeks, even though it's already entered. Even if you do enter it again this doesn't work, you need to reset. There was a bug that meant 9 times out of 10 you'd get an invisible ball when playing online, which was infuritating. I think in total I've download 3 patches for this and still issues persist.

Overall the game is much improved, if it loads, and that's the kicker for me, and has truly put me off fifa. I've lost confidence in the game. I'm not even that much of a high use player, maybe two nights a week, but I'd say on average I have to reset the game close to 6 times a week for one fault or another. I just want something that allows me to turn on, log in and play for an hour or so. With fifa 13 you're looking at a maximum of 2 games in an hour, if you're lucky... so if you've got time and patience it's possibly a game for you. If you like the simple life and a bit of fun, it's not.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Best so Far, 13 Feb. 2004

Well, having gained a copy early, I must say I was overexcited by the game. Most of it didn't disappoint, for instance, the grounds are brilliant, all accurate with the tree at Canterbury!
Pluses: really thought the confidence meter was a good idea (if the computers gettin a bit confident, bounce him in the helmet!), and i enjoy the improved fielding with the keeper doing it, and the misfields, and more realistic effort. The bowling is actually easier than the batting for a change, which is definetly a good thing, and its a really good multiplayer game (unlike 2002, as its harder for both players). The full season mode and tours are brilliant, and picking your squad is great! furtherly, the creating players is great and u can make all ur mates when they come round too!
downside: shoddy graphics and messes up a lot. running doesnt always work (me and a friend both have a copy of the game) - sometimes the batsmen dont respond no matter how many times u press run, and then sometimes it doesnt react until the keeper has the ball at the stumps and ur run-out, very frustrating! it crashes a fair bit too, but thats generally if u edit the field alot, or make loadsa players, so updating lots of data in other words! and christ alive, the commentry is awful. its so annoying, they should really get some new words, and some exciting commentators like mark nicholas!
overall, you have to buy it, as its the best cricket game to date (tho icc not far behind, but u cant play), and we only get them once every 2 yrs!

5.0 out of 5 stars Funny, great tunes, and great one liners, 1 Mar. 2002
It doesnt matter if you are a fan of KISS or not as this movie is great in every respect. I have watched it over 20 times and still find it funny. The story of 4 boys: Hawk, Trip, Lex and Jam is great as they embark on a road trip to see their idols KISS. The fact they have no tickets is great too (as Jam's mum burns them),so please buy this video as it is impossible to watch it only 10times, plus not only this, but there is also fantastic music, except for maybe MYSTERY themselves!!!

4.0 out of 5 stars This is far out of the league of Vanilla Sky, 24 Feb. 2002

This review is from: Open Your Eyes [VHS] (VHS Tape)
Despite having the same lead female (Penelope Cruz), and being the basis of Vanilla Sky, this movie is around about 10times greater. The acting is brilliant, that is if you can manage to view it, as you have to read the subtitles. This is possibly the only bad part to a movie so filled with 'action' and makes you think hard about life. The subtitles also make it a reason to buy it, as you would have to view it more than once to get everything taken in. Yet this is not to say you would only view it just twice because as soon as you finish watching it, your finger is twitching to hit rewind to watch it that one more time. Eduardo Noriego plays the part of Cesar and does so more effectively than Tom Cruise's portrayal in Vanilla Sky. Penelope Cruz's performance is on a par with Noriego's.... It only leaves me to say, please go out and buy it as your life will not be complete without it (no really), it makes you think about lots of things you would never question before...

5.0 out of 5 stars A sheer masterpiece that defies all music genres, 24 Feb. 2002
This review is from: Kiss: Unplugged [VHS] (VHS Tape)
This colaboration of the founding 4 members was sheerly breathtaking, as they put the old feuds behind them and played some fantastic and magical songs. It was like being back in the good old days of KISS, when the music meant more than the fame, the money, and of course the girls. They played for their love, and it is a must have for any KISS fan, no matter how die-hard as it was a one off occasion of sheer magnificance. The actual playing was outstanding too as they played as if they had been together for years (as in the last few, not the original years they were together), so please buy this if you have any love for music at all, because it is amazing and a piece of history that every person should have in their collection.
