Transformers The Movie - The Ultimate Edition (2 discs) [1986] Limited Edition Slip Case [DVD]
Transformers The Movie - The Ultimate Edition (2 discs) [1986] Limited Edition Slip Case [DVD]
Dvd ~ Peter Cullen

5.0 out of 5 stars Transformers: The Movie 2disc Ultimate Edition dvd, 15 Oct. 2015
If you grew up watching transformers as a kid this is a must for all diehard fans the ultimate edition of the movie on dvd. The extras include a Q&A with Peter Cullen (The voice of Optimus Prime from 2004) is brilliant to watch a great nostalgia trip but also a good animated movie that still stands the test of time 29 years later.

Marvel's agents of shield doesn't disappoint it starts off slow to establish the characters but once it gets going it goes at break neck pace truely amazing what Joss Wheedon and co have achieved considering the show had to adapt on the fly to encompass events that happened in Thor: The Dark World and Captain America: The Winter Soldier. But like Wheedon's previous tv shows Buffy and Angel and the regrettably short Firefly where M.A.O.S really shines is the excellent cast well fleshed out characters that have their strengths but also their weaknesses, the sets are amazing and the visual fx are very good Marvel has never looked better. And with guest spots from character's from the movies here's looking forward to season 2 which so far hasn't disappointed either.

2.0 out of 5 stars R.I.P call of duty was great while it lasted., 4 Nov. 2014
The campaign is well done excellent graphics very deep storyline as always has the usual Cod elements which I thought was good. For that I'd say 5 stars but for all cod fans the multiplayer is what the series is about I've been a fan of the multiplayer since modern warfare (call of duty 4) but advanced warfare is a big let down. For me black ops black ops 2 modern warfare 3 and ghosts were the best, although black ops 2 and ghosts were slightly futuristic the multiplayer was still recognisable as cod. And apart from the odd cheat using rapid fire pad lag switch or aim bots (wish call of duty/microsoft/xbox would sort that out) the games are very addictive and competitive but advanced warfare multiplayer is such a let down got the day zero release for £50 and straight away you got lag cheating going on glitches where your walking into walls my internet is fibre optic super fast so i know it wasn't my connection the game feels like it's been rushed and the new features the exo suits are fun but it's just not cod more like Halo or Titan Fall now if i wanted to play either of those I'd play them for me call of duty has finally ran out of ideas and inspiration and come up with this stinking pile. For true cod fans this game will grow old really quick and the high price tag doesn't justify this game at all. With this in mind call of duty as a franchise has produced a real let down hopefully ghosts 2 out next year will be better but I'm not counting on it... R.I.P. cod was great while it lasted but as always good games become cash cow money spinners with no thought or imput from gamers. For me call of duty should do a total warfare with a storyline chronicling the history of warfare from ww1 to modern day have the multiplayer like pure team death match on black ops no stupid attachments no perks turning your soldier into Captain America on steroids just a straight up FPS where the player relies soley on their weapons and skill not futuristic toys which are either 40 years away or total farcical nonsense.

Taken - Steelbook [Blu-ray]

5.0 out of 5 stars Taken uk blu ray steelbook., 16 Feb. 2014

Ultra rare and highly collectible and a stunning performance by Liam Neeson makes this the ultimate fans collector's piece. In many ways superior to the sequel which was good but Taken is by far the better of the two though Taken 2 is still good I felt it was missing something compared to Taken I guess it might be because the first one was something fresh whilst Taken 2 you kind of knew what you were in for. If you can get it for a good price I highly recommend the steelbooks for both Taken movies as they look really nice and will definately be a nice focal point to any blu ray steelbook collection.

I purchased this film being a fan of Ashley Greene and post twilight wanted to see how well the actress did in a starring role the answer very well this a really good indy film and along the lines of the grudge and the ring movies and has some generally creepy moments that will make you jump Tom Felton also stars and post Harry Potter his career looks set though I hope he doesn't get typecast to fantasy and horror films all in all not a great film but certainly a good film and well worth a watch.

the film is ok but i found the pace was slow at times and the character's were too shallow, if you're expecting a rip-roaring western with plenty of shootouts you'll be disappointed the picture quality is b-movie quality at best wyatt earp or tombstone this isn't the only actor who shines in this film for me is Summer Glau but i felt the makers of the film severely under used her, religating her to an damsel in distress/eye candy role which i think was a terrible shame and a waste of her talent. the film never fully engaged me i felt it dragged on and in the end was glad when it ended it could have been so much more, put it this way it's a film you'd only watch once then feel greatly disappointed. for a good western see Tombstone, Open Range, Unforgiven, or the three disc version of Dances With Wolves.
