5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate companion?, 15 May 2009
The ultimate companion.... quite possibly! During ym time in Algeria this book never left me - i couldn't do without it! For making you feel comfortable and at home in a country i knew next to nothing about it was just brilliant. It really highlighted the beauty that Algeria has as well as providing up to date and accurate info on the specifics of travelling the country. Thanks Bradt!

5.0 out of 5 stars Brillaint, 15 May 2009
From the other reviews i see i am not the only one who found the Bradt guide unbelievably helpful and far better than the lonely planet version. The key is in the details and that is this guide all over.
Like many African countries people know very little about Uganda, but when you read a book such as this put together by genuine experts you realise just quite what is there. Thanks Bradt for turning my 'great' trip into quite frankly an eye-opening trip of a lifetime.

4.0 out of 5 stars Very informative, 15 May 2009
I had an idea about doing some conservation work before i left for Africa, but it was just that - an idea. Luckily my parents bought me this book for my birthday and what a present it was, it allowed me to turn my ideas into a reality. Without this i wouldn't have known where to start and would have been pretty lost once i did! If you are even considering a trip of this nature, i strongly recommend reading this so you get a real feel for what is involved.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate guide to the sunshine country, 15 May 2009
I recently spent 3months living and teaching in Ethiopia so have a good idea of the way most things work and where things are. this guide was spot-on accurate everytime whether it be from directions to opening times to hotel prices. As a traveller, the ability to *accurately* plan ahead is crucial to managing time and finances and this guide certainly enabled me to do this. I know if i go back i certaily won't be leaving without it.
