3.0 out of 5 stars Wonder light, pity about the batteries !, 17 Sept. 2012
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
When I got it to work I was impressed by the amount of light produced and it will do just what I want. What a pity then, that it was delivered with a leaking battery which had made the negative screw-in-cap non conductive. The batteries were replaced with a better known brand and the contact strip cleaned up with glasspaper but really one wonders why it was left to the customer to find out it did'nt operate. Perhaps Amazon should check any in stock !

5.0 out of 5 stars Mux Magician - Magic., 30 Jan. 2011
Verified Purchase(What is this?)
Great aerial. Really is wideband and at the same time has good gain and is highly directional. I live 30 miles from Sandy Heath, which uses for most programmes, Mux 40 - 43 ie in the middle of the band, these are easily received but it also uses a high band mux, 67, carrying CBeebies, BBC 4 and the Parliament channel. Reception of these programmes before this aerial was installed was very poor with picture freezes, and on one set, (with a long run of poor quality coax) no picture at all.

The original aerial also bought from Amazon, was advertised as wideband and ok it was cheaper but not really wideband here. The Magician cleared up all the signal problems of 67 and a good picture is on the set that earlier had no picture !

This aerial is an outdoor device but I am using it in my loft. Because it was designed for outdoors a normal coax plug socket arrangment was not possible hence the mechanically better F plug, which by the way can be obtained from Amazon, in fact ten of them for £1.10 and is easier to fit to UHF coax than the push in fall out 'normal' plug.

I feel the designer of this device should be congratulated.

This review is from: The Giggler Treatment (Paperback)
This book was bought to help my 9 year old Grandson improve his reading, the book and another were obtained following a recommendation from his School Form teacher.

The unusual theme of the book caught his imagination as no other book had, and he actually asked to read it, something the family thought would never happen!

Since this book he has read several others but still remembers the Gigglers with great affection - and his reading is no longer a problem.

Have a pair black Sennheiser Eco phones and quite impressed, but music a little sharp, so bought these '400's'. Very impressive, you certainly feel that not only are you at the recording, but almost in the microphone ! Certainly the best I have used.

Minor gripe : Volume control smooth at low settings but all or nothing at top end. But such things are unimportant, nothing can detract from the quality of sound these little beauties produce. Thank you Sennheiser !
