4.0 out of 5 stars A 'must-read' for anyone with a 4 year old child!, 25 Feb. 2003
This book introduces the world of school in a colourful and child friendly way. It deals with most activities the child will encounter, taking them through the first day, week, month and term. I've always used it with my new Reception class when they came on their induction days to ease them into school life.

4.0 out of 5 stars Catchy and motivating!, 25 Feb. 2003
Each Peach Pear Plum is a journey into the world of a child's favourite nursery rhyme characters. Your child's interest will be maintained through every page turn as they find the characters hidden on each page. It's good for introducing children to rhyme as well, it has colourful detailed illustrations and is a book that your child will want to share with you again and again....

4.0 out of 5 stars Brides, buy this for your Mums and Mum-in-Law to be!, 22 Feb. 2003
This little book (it would fit into your handbag) blends the traditional with the modern to provide all Mums of Brides (and I'm sure the Groom's Mum would love it too) with a virtually foolproof guide to getting through from the engagement to the wedding without the family falling out over the arrangements!
It gives helpful advice for when to gently intervene to prevent mishaps occurring, also when to be tactful and keep what you really think to yourself.
As usual with the books that Confetti publish (and in keeping with the whole ethos of their website) this book has been written by people who have 'been there, done that, got the tshirt' - it is also written in a very readable style.
You can either read this book from cover to cover, or keep dipping in and out of it as you need to.

4.0 out of 5 stars Read this if you have a child with SEN in your class!, 22 Feb. 2003
I found this book a useful resource for managing the children with SEN in my early years class - it covers everything from working with parents and other professionals in partnership to the implementation of individual education plans and meeting the child's needs through what we plan for them to learn.
The book emphasises the need for everyone to work together to meet the child's needs - it helped me to avoid some pitfalls during my first year in special nursery education.
I think the book's aimed more at professionals, but parents will find the content interesting and useful too.

How to Write a Wedding Speech (Confetti)
How to Write a Wedding Speech (Confetti)

5.0 out of 5 stars Everything you need to deliver a memorable speech!, 22 Feb. 2003
Read this book with a box of tissues - I was crying with laughing at some of the suggested jokes and anecodotes.
This book contains humour, seriousness, memory lane, advice for the future - everything you need to write a wedding speech that will be remembered (whether the wedding is videoed or not!)
As with Confetti's other books and the website, this book will be of use to all best men, grooms, brides, fathers and mothers who want to make a speech at their wedding of the year!
The suggestions made provide a 'backbone' and structure for the speech, that will then become personal to the couple once you add in your own anecdotes and memories.
The book also offers guidance on what is, and is not, appropriate material for wedding speeches - always useful if you want to keep on speaking terms with your friends and family.
